Gurriel was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies with left hamstring tightness.

Gurriel was taken out of the game after making a sliding catch in left field. It's not immediately clear how serious his injury is, but the Diamondbacks may provide more details in the near future. Jorge Barrosa entered the game as Gurriel's replacement and would be the favorite to work as Arizona's left fielder in any future games the latter has to miss.

X-rays on Muncy's right wrist came back negative after Friday's game against the Brewers, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

Muncy was pulled from Friday's contest in the eighth inning after taking a pitch off his wrist. Although he avoided a fracture, manager Dave Roberts said the 35-year-old slugger is dealing with some swelling and will likely have to sit out the Dodgers' next few games. Santiago Espinal is likely to start at third base while Muncy is down, though Miguel Rojas could also be in the mix for playing time.

Chandler (1-6) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks with 11 strikeouts over five innings.

Chandler allowed three runs in a third inning that included the leadoff runner reaching via catcher's interference and an error. While it marked his fifth loss over his past six outings, the 23-year-old flashed his upside by generating a whopping 22 swinging strikes on 99 pitches and notching a career-high 11 punchouts. He owns a 4.79 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 47:34 K:BB across 47 innings and lines up for a home matchup against the Cubs next week.

Soto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Marlins.

Despite batting third in the Mets' lineup, Soto saw just three plate appearances, as New York sent just 29 batters to the plate on a night when they generated just three hits, two of which came off Soto's bat. He took Eury Perez deep in the top of the first inning, and that was all the Mets were able to muster on the scoreboard. Soto has three multi-hit games over his last four appearances and has hit safely in eight of the last nine, raising his average 38 points during that span. He's slashing .301/.394/.571 with 10 homers, 21 RBI, 22 runs scored, five stolen bases and a 21:24 BB:K across 155 trips to the plate this season.

Tong didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Marlins, allowing one walk with two strikeouts across three hitless and scoreless innings out of the Mets' bullpen.

The 22-year-old was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse earlier Friday and worked the final three innings after Tobias Myers and Sean Manaea covered the first 15 outs. Tong flashed his plus stuff, including a 95.9 mph fastball, and generated five whiffs on 28 pitches. The right-hander could make starts for the Mets or be deployed as a multi-inning reliever.

Ruiz went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mets.

Ruiz doubled in the bottom of the second inning and manufactured the Marlins' first run of the game by stealing third base before scoring on a groundout. It was Ruiz's eighth stolen base of the season. He then tripled and scored in the fourth, accounting for both of Miami's runs in the low-scoring affair. The speedy outfielder is hitting just .216 with a .231 on-base percentage but has a team-high .514 slugging percentage in 39 trips to the plate this season. He has three doubles, one triple and two homers to go with five RBI, 10 runs scored and the eight steals.

Duran (1-2) took the loss Friday, giving up a run on two hits in the ninth inning of a 1-0 loss to the Guardians. He struck out one.

Called in to protect a 0-0 tie, Duran instead served up a game-winning solo shot to Kyle Manzardo on a first-pitch splitter that caught too much of the plate. It was the first home run Duran has allowed this season, and while he does have two losses, the Phillies closer is a perfect 8-for-8 in converting save chances while posting a 1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB through 13.2 innings.

Fairbanks picked up the save in Friday's 2-1 win over the Mets, issuing one walk with two strikeouts in a hitless and scoreless ninth inning.

It's been a rough start to the season for Miami's closer, as he entered Friday having allowed at least one run in three straight outings and at least three runs in three of nine appearances since the beginning of April. Fairbanks struck out the first two batters he faced Friday and closed it with a flyout from Bo Bichette. It was Fairbanks' sixth save of the season to go with an 8.25 ERA and 19:6 K:BB across 12 innings.

Perez (3-6) earned the win Friday against the Mets, allowing one run on two hits and no walks with five strikeouts across 6.1 innings.

Perez's lone blemish was a first-inning solo homer allowed to Juan Soto. The right-hander faced the minimum the rest of the way before being pulled with one out in the seventh. It was the first time Perez recorded more than 18 outs in a start since Opening Day, and it was just his third quality start of the season. Perez has undeniably electric stuff, but he's been hurt by walks and homers this season, and he came into Friday having lost five straight starts. Friday was his first start of 2026 without issuing a free pass. With the strong outing, Perez lowered his ERA to 4.91 with a 63:28 K:BB across 58.2 innings this season. The 23-year-old will look to build on the performance with a road date in Toronto next week.

Sanchez didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Guardians, scattering four hits and two walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Cleveland couldn't even get a runner into scoring position against Sanchez, but the southpaw was matched by an equally outstanding performance from Gavin Williams, and the game was still tied 0-0 heading into the ninth inning. Sanchez got lifted after 96 pitches (60 strikes) and had to watch as Jhoan Duran served up the game-winning homer to Kyle Manzardo. Sanchez didn't get the win, but he did extend his scoreless streak to a stunning 37.2 innings -- the second-longest streak ever by a Phillie, behind only Hall of Famer Grover Cleveland Alexander's 41-inning streak in 1911. He'll look to make franchise history in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in San Diego.
