  • Ryan Weathers SP | NYY

Marlins' Ryan Weathers: Re-evaluated in 1-to-2 weeks

Weathers (finger) will be re-evaluated in 1-to-2 weeks in hopes of being cleared to begin a throwing program at that time, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Weathers has already been shut down for nearly a month with a left index finger strain and still isn't ready to throw yet. Given how much time he's missed, it's going to take him a while to get sufficiently built back up before rejoining the Marlins' rotation. A return would appear to be several weeks away.

  • Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA

Marlins' Sixto Sanchez: Tosses another bullpen

Sanchez (shoulder) threw a 26-pitch bullpen session Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Saturday's session was Sanchez's second time throwing off a mound, and he was able to get up to 26 pitches after only tossing 18 pitches in his first bullpen. Still, Sanchez won't be eligible for return until August.

  • Edward Cabrera SP | CHC

Marlins' Edward Cabrera: Another rehab start Saturday

Cabrera (shoulder) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Cabrera is slated to throw 80-to-85 pitches in what will likely be his final rehab start before returning from the 60-day injured list and taking back a spot in Miami's rotation. The right-hander has posted a 4.50 ERA and 15:4 K:BB over 10 innings in his first three rehab outings. Cabrera has been out since early May with a right shoulder impingement.

  • Luis Garcia 1B | NYY

    Nationals' Luis Garcia: Idle Tuesday

Garcia is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

With the Nationals facing a left-handed pitcher for a second straight game, Garcia will yield to Ildemaro Vargas at second base once again. Garcia owns a .677 OPS with seven home runs and 11 stolen bases this season.

  • Jesse Winker DH | NYM

Nationals' Jesse Winker: Absent from lineup

Winker is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Winker will dodge a matchup with southpaw Sean Manaea on Tuesday. Harold Ramirez will bat third and DH.

  • Otto Lopez SS | MIA

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Scratched from lineup

Lopez was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against Boston for unspecified reasons.

Lopez was initially slated to play second base and bat sixth Tuesday but was removed from the lineup for unknown reasons. Vidal Brujan will slide to second base while Emmanuel Rivera enters the lineup at third.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Braves' Orlando Arcia: Absent from lineup

Arcia is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.

Arcia missed two games last week due to dizziness before returning to play the last four contests. He hasn't suffered any known setback, so this would appear to be a routine day of rest. Zack Short will fill in at shortstop.

  • Jake Fraley RF | TB

    Reds' Jake Fraley: Sitting Tuesday

Fraley is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

The lefty-hitting Fraley will take a seat Tuesday against RHP Luis Gil. Nick Martini, Stuart Fairchild and Will Benson will fill the outfield from left to right.

  • Braves' Ramon Laureano: Not in lineup Tuesday

Laureano (back) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Giants.

Laureano hasn't played in nearly a week due to a nagging back issue. The team had expressed hope that he might be ready to go Tuesday, so it's possible it might now consider a stint on the injured list. Adam Duvall will be in right field again Tuesday.

  • Josiah Gray RP | WAS

Nationals' Josiah Gray: Reports elbow discomfort

Gray experienced elbow discomfort and felt more fatigued than normal during Sunday's rehab start at Triple-A Rochester, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports. Gray will undergo testing in the coming days.

Gray compared the discomfort to what he felt in April when he sustained the right flexor strain, a concerning sign for the 26-year-old, who was close to activation before the setback. Gray surrendered seven runs across three innings Sunday before reporting the pain. He'll continue to be evaluated over the coming days as the severity of the setback is determined.
