Luis Arraez 2B | PHI
Padres' Luis Arraez: Getting breather Sunday
Arraez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
After rapping out three hits in Saturday's 4-0 win to break out of a 1-for-15 funk over his previous four starts, Arraez will head to the bench for the series finale and the final game before the All-Star break. Jurickson Profar will take over as the Padres' leadoff hitter in place of Arraez, who had started in each of the Friars' last 13 contests.

Eli White CF | BOS
Braves' Eli White: Relegated to bench role
White is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
After making three starts in the outfield last weekend versus the Phillies while Atlanta played without Ramon Laureano (oblique), White has moved back to the bench, even though Laureano was placed on the injured list Wednesday. Rather than White, Atlanta has turned to Eddie Rosario to fill the opening in the outfield, as Rosario will get his seventh consecutive start Sunday. The right-handed-hitting White could still be a candidate to replace the lefty-hitting Rosario in the lineup against left-handed pitching, at least until Laureano returns from the IL.

Jason Heyward LF | SD
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Expected to return after break
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Heyward (knee) won't need a rehab assignment and is on track to be activated off the 10-day injured list following the All-Star break, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Heyward was pulled from a game against Arizona on July 4 due to left knee pain and subsequently landed on the IL. An MRI revealed no structural damage, and the veteran outfielder looks like he'll be ready to go when the Dodgers open the second half of the schedule next Friday versus Boston. James Outman was called up from the minors following Heyward's injury and has been starting in the outfield most of the time against right-handed pitchers since his promotion.

Eddie Rosario RF | MIL
Braves' Eddie Rosario: Getting seventh straight start
Rosario will start in left field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Padres.
Since signing a minor-league deal with Atlanta on July 5 and earning a promotion to the big leagues four days later, Rosario has moved into a strong-side platoon role in the outfield. He'll pick up a seventh straight start -- all against right-handed pitchers -- after going 4-for-21 with a double and three runs over his first six games with Atlanta.

Zack Short SS | NYM
Braves' Zack Short: Seeing little playing time
Short is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
Short picked up three consecutive starts at shortstop to begin July, but he hasn't returned to the lineup since with Orlando Arcia returning to action July 5 and avoiding a stint on the injured list due to an abscessed tooth. Expect Short's starting opportunities to be few and far between while Atlanta is at full strength in the infield.

Sean Murphy C | ATL
Braves' Sean Murphy: Getting rest Sunday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.
Murphy caught eight innings and went 0-for-4 in Atlanta's 4-0 loss Saturday evening, so he'll be getting some routine maintenance as the two teams close out their series with a day game. Travis d'Arnaud steps in behind the plate as Murphy's replacement in the starting nine Sunday.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Padres' Joe Musgrove: Will throw bullpen July 17
Musgrove (elbow) is slated to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, MLB.com reports.
The bullpen session will be Musgrove's first since he went on the injured list June 1 with a right elbow issue. The right-hander was diagnosed with a bone spur and a bone bruise shortly thereafter and received platelet-rich plasma and cortisone injections to address the injury. Musgrove has been playing catch since late June and threw off a mound July 10, though not as part of a full bullpen session. He's expected to accompany the Padres on their three-city road trip following the All-Star break and should continue to toss bullpen sessions during that time with the aim of gradually increasing the intensity of his throwing. He'll likely need a series of minor-league rehab starts prior to being activated off the 60-day IL, and he probably won't be ready to return to the big-league club's rotation until at least early August.

Mookie Betts SS | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Begins fielding grounders
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Betts (hand) has started to field softly hit groundballs, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Though Betts hasn't yet been cleared for full baseball activities, taking part in fielding work is an indication that he hasn't experienced any setbacks in his recovery from a fractured left hand. The All-Star was given an estimated 6-to-8-week timeline for a return after sustaining the injury in mid-June, and though he still has a ways to go in his rehab, Betts could be ready to come off the 10-day injured list in early August. Betts has seen the majority of his starts at shortstop this season, though the Dodgers could look to deploy him mainly at second base upon his return. Miguel Rojas has excelled as Betts' primary replacement at shortstop and could be deserving of a full-time role upon Betts' return, while second baseman Gavin Lux entered Sunday's game against the Tigers sporting a lowly .565 OPS on the season.

Kyle Leahy SP | STL
Cardinals' Kyle Leahy: Sent back to minors
The Cardinals returned Leahy to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.
Leahy will head back to Memphis after he was summoned from the Triple-A club on Saturday to serve as the Cardinals' 27th man for a doubleheader with the Cubs. He was called upon in relief in the Cardinals' 11-3 win in the first game of the twin bill, striking out two while allowing one earned run on two hits and no walks over two innings.

Hunter Bigge RP | ATH
Cubs' Hunter Bigge: Sent back to Triple-A
The Cubs optioned Bigge to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.
Though right-hander Javier Assad was designated as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Cardinals after being activated from the injured list earlier in the day, he'll stick around with the Cubs and Bigge will be the odd man out as Chicago reduces its roster to 26 players ahead of Sunday's series finale in St. Louis. After being called up from Triple-A last Sunday, Bigge made three appearances out of the Cubs bullpen, giving up one earned run on one hit and two walks while striking out three over 2.1 innings.
