The veteran infielder has recorded at least one hit in five of the last six games, racking up eight RBI, four doubles, two long balls and an additional run scored over 25 plate appearances during that span. Ethan Holliday SS | COL
Rockies' Ethan Holliday: Goes on 7-day IL at Single-A
Single-A Fresno placed Holliday (foot) on its 7-day injured list Sunday.
Holliday hasn't played in nearly a week due to a left foot injury, and the decision was finally made to put him on the IL. The Rockies haven't provided word on a specific diagnosis for Holliday, making it uncertain how much time the top prospect will miss. Holliday has impressed so far in his first full professional season, slashing .262/.395/.557 with nine home runs in 33 games with Fresno, though he's struck out at a 28.3 percent clip.

Brian Holiday SP | STL
Cardinals' Brian Holiday: Finally makes pro debut
Holiday (elbow) was assigned to Single-A Palm Beach on Tuesday after allowing five runs with an 11:2 K:BB over 9.2 innings with the Cardinals' Florida Complex League affiliate.
A third-round pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Holiday finally made his professional debut after recovering from May 2025 Tommy John surgery. Slated to turn 23 on Friday, Holiday was seen as a high-floor, quick-moving college pitcher when drafted, but the Cardinals will bring him along slowly as he coming back from elbow surgery.

Conor Essenburg RF | ATL
Braves' Conor Essenburg: Returning from IL
Single-A Augusta reinstated Essenburg (undisclosed) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday.
The outfielder had been on the shelf for about six weeks due to an undisclosed issue but should rejoin the lineup for Augusta's series opener versus Kannapolis. Essenburg completed a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida State League prior to being activated, going 3-for-17 with three walks over five games.

Jacob Young CF | WAS
Nationals' Jacob Young: Surprising power surge continues
Young went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's win over the Guardians.
The center fielder came into 2026 with five career homers in 303 MLB games, but through 53 contests to begin the current campaign he's already gone yard seven times, including his second-inning shot off Tanner Bibee on Monday. Four of Young's blasts have come in the last 10 games, a stretch in which he's slashing an eye-popping .391/.462/.957 with one steal, five runs and seven RBI.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Mets' Bo Bichette: Bangs out three hits in loss
Bichette went 3-for-4 in Monday's loss to the Reds.
The knocks were all singles, but they went to waste in a Mets lineup that was missing Juan Soto (illness), Francisco Lindor (calf) and other key run-producers. Bichette has a slow start to his tenure with the team, but over the last nine games, he's slashing .308/.325/.564 with three home runs and nine RBI while looking more like the player who routinely posted a batting average of .290 or better and an OPS north of .800 with the Blue Jays.

Aiva Arquette SS | MIA
Marlins' Aiva Arquette: Bumped to Double-A
The Marlins promoted Arquette from High-A Beloit to Double-A Pensacola on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
The seventh overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft slashed .276/.333/.517 over 63 plate appearances at Beloit after missing the beginning of the season while recovering from core-muscle surgery, and that was good enough for the Marlins to decide the 22-year-old needed a new challenge. The aggressive promotion schedule for Arquette suggests he could make his big-league debut as soon as early 2027 if he continues to hold his own on his way up the ladder.

Drake Baldwin C | ATL
Braves' Drake Baldwin: No timeline for return
Baldwin (oblique) doesn't yet have a timeline for his return, MLB.com reports.
The star catcher landed on the IL on May 19 with a Grade 1 oblique strain, the mildest category, but the best-case scenario still likely has him out until mid-June. Until Baldwin resumes baseball activities, though, a clear target date for his return won't be available.

J.J. Bleday LF | CIN
Reds' JJ Bleday: Homers in win
Bleday went 1-for-4 with a walk and solo home run in Monday's 7-2 win over the Mets.
Bleday's solo shot in the third turned out to be the game-winning hit. His torrid start in a Cincinnati uniform has cooled off -- the outfielder entered Monday on a 3-for-27 run over the previous seven contests -- but he's locked in a regular gig in left field since being called up from Triple-A Louisville. Bleday has seven home runs and 21 RBI while slashing .270/.377/.596 through 25 games.
