Randal Grichuk LF | CHW
Diamondbacks' Randal Grichuk: Muscles up in win
Grichuk went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a double, an additional RBI and three total runs scored in Sunday's 14-3 win over the Dodgers.
Grichuk was one of six Diamondbacks with multiple hits, but he was the only one to log three hits in the game. His homer capped off an eight-run second inning, and he tacked on an RBI single in the eighth. The veteran outfielder hit a paltry .243 over 16 games in last month, but three of his six homers this year have come since the start of August. He's now at a .274/.330/.453 slash line with 31 RBI, 28 runs scored, 16 doubles, two triples and no stolen bases over 233 plate appearances while filling a short-side platoon role.

Brandon Pfaadt SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Brandon Pfaadt: Bounces back Sunday
Pfaadt (9-7) allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings to earn the win Sunday over the Dodgers.
While it wasn't the sharpest outing, Pfaadt did his part after the Diamondbacks put up nine runs over the first three innings. He had allowed 26 runs (24 earned) across 34.1 innings over his last six starts, so this counts as improvement. The right-hander is now at a 4.32 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 155:34 K:BB through 160.1 innings over 27 starts this season. His career high for innings across all levels in a single year is 167, set back in 2022 -- he'll likely set a new high, but fatigue shouldn't be a concern during the regular season. Pfaadt is projected to make his next start at Houston.

Mitchell Parker RP | WAS
Nationals' Mitchell Parker: Fans eight in defeat
Parker (7-9) took the loss Sunday against the Cubs, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out eight in six innings.
Parker matched his season best with eight punchouts, throwing a whopping 72 percent of his pitches for strikes. The 24-year-old pitched well despite taking the loss, allowing one extra-base hit while notching his 10th quality start of the season. Parker now owns a respectable 4.27 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 117:35 K:BB in 132.2 innings (25 starts). Parker will look to get back in the win column his next time out, currently scheduled for next weekend in Pittsburgh.

Jordan Wicks SP | CHC
Cubs' Jordan Wicks: Picks up win in return
Wicks (2-2) pitched five innings of one-run ball to pick up the win Sunday against Washington, allowing four hits and zero walks while striking out zero.
Making his first start since June 14, Wicks breezed through the Washington lineup, using just 69 pitches to get through five frames. Things got dicey for Wicks in the second inning when he allowed the bases to be loaded with zero out, but he induced a double play and a flyout to limit the damage to one run. The 25-year-old landed on the 60-day IL back in June with an oblique strain after pitching to a 4.18 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 32:10 K:BB in 28 innings (six starts) before the injury. After throwing a modest 69 pitches on Sunday, expect Wicks workload to ramp up moving forward, starting with next weekend's scheduled start against the Yankees.

Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Smacks two doubles
Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two walks and two runs scored in Sunday's win against Washington.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Matches career best with four hits
Swanson went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Sunday's win against Washington.
Swanson matched his career-best mark with four hits Sunday and has now recorded an RBI in six consecutive games. After a lackluster start to the season, the 30-year-old has quietly provided excellent fantasy value since Aug. 1, batting .287 with 10 extra-base hits, 21 runs scored, 22 RBI and eight stolen bases in 106 plate appearances.

Lars Nootbaar LF | ARI
Cardinals' Lars Nootbaar: Career-high five RBI
Nootbaar went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and five total RBI in Sunday's 14-7 win over the Yankees.
In an at-bat with the bases loaded and two out in the seventh, Nootbaar came through with a go-ahead, bases-clearing double to give the Cardinals a 10-7 lead. Nootbaar then iced the game with a two-run blast in the ninth inning, his first long ball since Aug. 18. The 26-year-old racked up a career-high five RBI on Sunday, the first game this season he has totaled more than two RBI. After the career day, Nootbaar now owns a .239 average with nine home runs, 34 RBI, 30 runs scored and five stolen bases in 85 games this season.

Brusdar Graterol RP | LAD
Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol: Could be back Friday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Graterol (hamstring) could return from the 15-day injured list as soon as Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Graterol will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, and he may require only a couple of appearances with the affiliate before getting the green light to rejoin the Dodgers. The right-hander opened the season on the IL due to right shoulder inflammation before being activated Aug. 5, only to strain his right hamstring in his first appearance of the season for Los Angeles.

Jordan Walker RF | STL
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Career day with five hits, homer
Walker went 5-for-5 with a home run, a stolen base, four runs scored and three RBI in Sunday's 14-7 win over the Yankees.
Walker did it all Sunday, turning in a perfect day at the plate and stealing his first base of the season for good measure. He opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second before slugging a two-run home run in the fifth to extend the Cardinals' lead to five. Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Friday that Walker will have an everyday spot in the lineup, and that seems justified after Sunday's performance. A former first-round pick, the 22-year-old Walker has undeniable upside but he has struggled overall in his big-league opportunities in 2024, slashing .143/.218/.221 with zero home runs in 87 plate appearances before Sunday's explosion.
