Soler went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, a walk and an additional run scored in Friday's 6-2 victory over the Dodgers.

The outfielder stretched Atlanta's lead to 5-0 with a 393-foot blast to left off Landon Knack in the second inning. The long ball broke a stretch of 49 consecutive plate appearances without a homer for Soler, as he last went deep Aug. 28 against Minnesota. The 2021 World Series MVP has struggled in his return to Atlanta. He's batting .217 (23-for-106) with six homers, 17 RBI and 17 runs scored over 34 games since joining the club at the trade deadline.

Schwellenbach (6-7) earned the win Friday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.

The 24-year-old rookie fared well against the star-studded Dodgers to pick up his first win since Aug. 22 versus Philadelphia. With this 92-pitch outing, Schwellenbach collected his ninth quality start of the season, and he's made nine consecutive starts without allowing more than three runs. Over that stretch, the Atlanta right-hander has been a fantasy stalwart, pitching to a 2.89 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 64:10 K:BB across 53 innings. He is scheduled to make his next start at Cincinnati next week.

Knack (2-4) was the pitcher of record in Friday's 6-2 loss to Atlanta, allowing five earned runs on seven hits and two walks over two innings. He struck out two.

After returning from Triple-A Oklahoma City last week and delivering a quality start against the Guardians, Knack stumbled out the gate in his second turn through the rotation, allowing three hits and one run in the first inning. Things didn't get better for the 27-year-old in the second inning, as he gave up four runs on four hits -- including two home runs -- before exiting after 64 pitches. Despite the lackluster showing, Knack should continue to hold a starting spot given the myriad injuries plaguing the Los Angeles rotation. He currently projects to face a much easier opponent in the Marlins on the road for his next start.

The Giants promoted Eldridge from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reports.

After playing just nine games with Richmond, during which he went 10-for-37 with a homer and four RBI, Eldridge will now reach the Triple-A level after beginning the season at Single-A. The 19-year-old first baseman has slashed .293/.376/.534 with 23 home runs and 90 RBI across three minor-league levels. Depending on how well he does with Sacramento to close out the season, he could begin the 2025 campaign with the River Cats, and there's a solid chance he claims the big-league first base job at some point next year.

The Mets will recall Acuna from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Acuna has been unimpressive at the plate during his first season at the Triple-A level, slashing .258/.299/.355 with seven homers and 50 RBI, though his 40 stolen bases is certainly appealing from a fantasy perspective. Despite his offensive struggles, he'll head up to the majors to provide the big club with some additional infield depth while Francisco Lindor manages a lower-back injury. Eddy Alvarez will most likely get the starting nod at shortstop if Lindor needs to miss any time, though the speedy Acuna could see action as a pinch runner.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and an additional run scored in Friday's 11-3 win over the Phillies.

Alvarez snapped a scoreless tie in the fifth inning, blasting an Aaron Nola curveball off the left-field foul pole for a three-run homer. Alvarez has now gone deep in consecutive games after going 18 games without a long ball -- he went just 7-for-49 (.143) with a .379 OPS in that span. The 22-year-old backstop is now slashing .237/.305/.383 with eight homers, 37 RBI and 32 runs scored across 302 plate appearances this season.

Ortiz (6-6) took the loss Friday against the Royals, allowing seven runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out five.

Ortiz and the Pirates fell into a deep hole early after Kansas City put up a six spot in the second inning. The 25-year-old Ortiz has now allowed 11 runs (seven earned) across 9.2 innings in his last two starts. His ERA sits at 3.45 on the year with a 1.13 WHIP and 95:39 K:BB across 122.2 innings. He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week on the road in St. Louis.

Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that initial scans on Glasnow's right elbow were "promising," Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Glasnow reported discomfort in his elbow while warming up for a simulated game Friday. While the Dodgers skipper didn't get into specific details regarding the right-hander's status, it seems there may still be a chance he returns in time to make another start before the end of the regular season.

Fedde allowed three runs on six hits and a walk over five innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out three during the extra-innings loss to Toronto.

Fedde tossed three shutout frames before the Blue Jays pushed across three runs in the fourth inning. He's now failed to complete six innings in six of his eight starts since being acquired by the Cardinals. During that span. he's produced a 4.43 ERA, pushing his season mark up to 3.45. Fedde is 0-5 over his last six starts and hasn't won since Aug. 7. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, which is projected to come at home against the Pirates.

Nola (12-8) took the loss Friday against the Mets, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Nola was cruising early Friday, holding the Mets without a hit through his first four innings. However, things would unravel quickly in the fifth when New York led off the frame with back-to-back singles before Francisco Alvarez launched a three-run homer. Nola would allow a second three-run blast to Brandon Nimmo later in the frame, forcing the Phillies to turn to the bullpen. The 31-year-old Nola has dropped back-to-back starts, allowing 10 earned runs over 9.1 innings in that span. His ERA sits at 3.62 on the season with a 1.20 WHIP and 174:47 K:BB across 181.1 innings. Nola will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week on the road in Milwaukee.
