Moreno isn't in Arizona's lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Moreno went 2-for-3 during his first start back from the injured list Monday, and he'll take a seat Tuesday as the D-backs ease him back into regular playing time. While he rests, Jose Herrera will catch for Jordan Montgomery and bat ninth.

Williamson was removed from his start Tuesday against Atlanta with an apparent injury, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Williamson appeared to be grabbing at his left elbow after making a pitch in the second inning of Tuesday's contest. The specifics of his injury won't be known until the Reds are able to take a closer look at him, but the 26-year-old southpaw may be at risk of missing even more time after sitting out the first five months of the season due to a shoulder issue.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Tuesday that Cavalli (elbow) will continue to work through his throwing program but won't pitch in games before the end of the season, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

The right-hander began the season on the injured list while completing his recovery from Tommy John Surgery in May 2023, but a "dead arm" phase over the summer derailed his rehab assignment. Cavalli will continue to build up his arm over the final weeks of the regular season, but he'll head into 2025 with plenty of uncertainty coming off consecutive lost seasons.

Arraez (lower body) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Astros.

Arraez departed Monday's series opener after suffering the injury on a play at the plate during the fifth inning, but he won't end up missing additional time. The 27-year-old went 2-for-4 with a double and a strikeout prior to exiting the contest, which ended a 30-game streak without being punched out.

Chaparro isn't in the Nationals' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

Chaparro will get a day off Tuesday after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout during Monday's series opener. His absence will allow Juan Yepez to work as the Nationals' designated hitter and bat cleanup.

Marte is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Marte started the previous six games and will receive a maintenance day after going 6-for-22 with a double and two homers during that stretch. Luis Guillorme is receiving a start at second base while batting eighth.

Abrams (shoulder) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Tuesday against the Mets.

Left-shoulder soreness has prevented Abrams from playing in each of Washington's last four games, but he seems to finally be feeling better entering Tuesday's contest. The 23-year-old has been in a bit of a slump at the plate recently, slashing just .176/.194/.382 with two home runs and three RBI since the start of September.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Gonsolin (elbow) will make another rehab appearance with Triple-A Oklahoma City before potentially returning from the 60-day injured list, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander has two rehab outings under his belt with Oklahoma City, and he allowed two runs on five hits and a walk over 2.2 innings during the most recent appearance Sunday. Los Angeles is in need of rotation help, but that doesn't necessarily mean Gonsolin will start once he completes his rehab program from last September's Tommy John surgery. There's also no guarantee the 30-year-old is included on the playoff roster.

Reds manager David Bell said Tuesday that Lodolo (finger) won't return from the 15-day injured list before the end of the season, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander will end up missing the final five-plus weeks of the season due to the sprained finger he sustained Aug. 22 against the Pirates. Lodolo should have plenty of time to get healthy before the start of spring training and closes out the 2024 season with a 4.76 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 122:37 K:BB over 115.1 innings (21 starts).

Cubs manager Craig Counsell announced Tuesday that Steele (elbow) will be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday against the Athletics, Ryan Herrera of AllCHGO.com reports.

The left-hander landed on the shelf after experiencing elbow tendinitis following his last start Aug. 27 in Pittsburgh, and he'll be back with the Cubs for the final week and a half of the campaign. If Chicago sticks to a five-man rotation, Steele tentatively lines up for three starts before the end of the regular season. The 29-year-old has a 3.09 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 131:34 K:BB across 128 innings this season.
