Sanchez went 5-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Dodgers.

Sanchez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning before extending Miami's lead to 3-0 with another base hit in the second. The outfielder would add a third RBI with a double in the fourth en route to his first career five-hit game. The 26-year-old Sanchez had gone just 1-for-16 in five contests coming into Tuesday. He's slashing .252/.309/.424 with 17 homers, 62 RBI, 52 runs scored and 14 stolen bases across 489 plate appearances this season.

Donovan went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Donovan picked up his first steal since Aug. 23. He's had a steady September, going 16-for-47 (.340) across 13 contests despite missing some time due to a foot infection. The 27-year-old has supplied middling totals in the counting stats with 12 home runs, five steals, 64 RBI and 61 runs scored over 142 contests, but he's been fairly reliable with a .270/.336/.402 slash line while seeing time in left field and at second base for most of the year. He may spend more time in left to close out the campaign with Thomas Saggese getting a look at the keystone.

McCaughan didn't factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing five runs on six hits and a walk over 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

McCaughan got through the first two innings unscathed before he was tagged for four runs in the third on a Shohei Ohtani homer and a Max Muncy double. He'd allow a fifth run on a Miguel Rojas solo shot in the fourth. McCaughan has yet to make it past the fifth inning in his four starts with the Marlins. His ERA is up to 7.33 with a 1.67 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB across 27 innings. McCaughan will look for a better result in his next outing, currently scheduled for this weekend at home versus Atlanta.

Goldschmidt went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Goldschmidt was held hitless for his fourth game in a row, but he was able to draw a walk for the fourth time in eight contests. The first baseman's steal was his 10th of the year -- he's reached double digits in three of the last four seasons and a total of eight times in his 14-year career. Goldschmidt has added a mediocre .244/.303/.410 slash line with 21 home runs, 59 RBI and 63 runs scored through 144 contests in what's been the worst season of his career by many metrics.

Happ went 3-for-5 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Happ did his part to keep Chicago in the game, including blasting his second home run of the game and 25th of the season in the ninth inning to get the Cubs a little closer, but it wasn't quite enough to secure a much-needed win. The veteran has now matched his career high of 25 long balls, which he last recorded back in 2021. He also set a new career high with his 85th RBI of the year on Tuesday, surpassing his 2023 total of 84. Happ has 11 team games remaining to try to set a new long-ball benchmark.

Walker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Walker has hit safely in four straight games, a span that includes two of his four homers this season. The outfielder has gone just 7-for-39 (.179) since opening September with a five-hit game. For the year, he's batting .190 with a .609 OPS, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and one stolen base over 40 contests, though he's received ample playing time down the stretch since the Cardinals faded from the playoff race.

Alonso went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a two-run single, a double and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-1 victory over Washington.

The Mets first baseman entered this game on a cold spell, hitting just .213 (10-for-47) in 14 September games, and left having doubled his RBI total on the month. Alonso drove in his first pair of runs with single in third inning before adding a three-run homer to his ledger in the eighth. Perhaps this performance will bust the free-agent-to-be out of his September swoon. Alonso is now slashing .244/.330/.472 with 33 homers, 31 doubles, 86 RBI and 87 runs scored across 649 plate appearances this season.

Miller allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk across two innings in a no-decision Tuesday against Miami. He struck out two.

It was another rough outing for Miller -- the right-hander's now allowed 17 runs across 11.1 innings in his last three starts. His ERA is up to an ugly 8.52 on the year with a 1.77 WHIP and 52:30 K:BB across 56 innings. Miller would currently line up for a home start next week against the Padres, should the Dodgers elect to give him another look in the rotation.

Helsley allowed a hit and struck out two over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Pirates.

Helsley is up to 45 saves this season, though he's earned just three of them in September amid the Cardinals' struggles to find leads. He's allowed just one unearned run over his last 14 innings, posting a 19:3 K:BB in that span. The closer has enjoyed an excellent season despite pitching on a middling team, maintaining a 2.15 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 74:23 K:BB over 62.2 innings.

Lynn (7-4) allowed a run on four hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings to earn the win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Lynn has looked good over two starts since returning from a knee injury. He's allowed two runs while striking out 12 over 11 innings since his return, and he was able to get the win after the Cardinals gave him some run support Tuesday. The veteran now has a 3.84 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 109:44 K:BB through 117.1 innings across 23 starts. He's projected for a road start at Colorado next week, which could be his last outing of the year if the Cardinals finish the campaign with a six-man rotation.
