The Diamondbacks outrighted Guillorme to Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Guillorme was designated for assignment Friday and will head to the minors after failing to draw interest on waivers. The 29-year-old has slashed .205/.301/.273 with 10 RBI, four stolen bases and 14 runs scored over 79 games across stops with Arizona, Atlanta and the Angels so far in 2024.

Blackmon announced Monday that he's retiring from Major League Baseball at the end of the 2024 season, MLB.com reports.

The 38-year-old is closing in on the completion of his 14th year in the major leagues, and with the Rockies already eliminated from postseason contention, Blackmon has decided the time is now to announce his retirement. He saw his batting average fall to a career-low .249 over 118 games in 2024, but the outfielder competed at a high level for the majority of his big-league career, which is highlighted by four All-Star appearances, two Silver Slugger awards and a batting title. Blackmon still has a few games left to add to his numbers, but he's posted a career .292 average with 226 home runs, 797 RBI, 148 stolen bases and 991 runs scored over 1,618 games.

Nelson (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a 25-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Nelson is working his way through right shoulder inflammation, which landed him on the 15-day injured list Sept. 14. Barring any setbacks Tuesday, the 26-year-old could be activated after a minimum-length stay, which would line him up for the weekend series against the Padres that begins Friday. Manger Torey Lovullo told reporters Monday that whether Nelson operates as a starter or reliever will depend on what pitch count the right-hander can comfortably manage.

Moreno hopes to return to the Diamondbacks' lineup as soon as Tuesday after an MRI on his left side didn't reveal any structural damage, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Moreno had to depart Sunday's game versus the Brewers with left adductor tightness, which is the same injury he returned from just over a week ago. However, he has managed to avoid a serious setback and is considered day-to-day. Moreno has been limited to just 20 games in the second half due to injury but is slashing .367/.443/.467 during that time.

Walton is not in the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Diamondbacks.

After being given four straight starts at second base, Walton has now started just one of the last four contests at the position. The Giants have started four different players at the keystone over that time, with Casey Schmitt getting the call for Monday's series opener.

Wade is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Arizona.

Southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez is on the hill for the Diamondbacks, so the left-handed-hitting Wade will yield to Mark Canha at first base. Though he's slashing .333/.439/.424 over 42 plate appearances versus lefties this season, Wade has just three starts against left-handers in 2024.

Yastrzemski is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Arizona.

It's a day off for the left-handed-hitting Yastrzemski as the Diamondbacks send southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez to the bump. Heliot Ramos will shift over to right field for the Giants on Monday.

Bailey is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Arizona.

It's a routine day off for Bailey, who had started three of the last four games for the Giants. Curt Casali will do the catching in the series opener in the desert.

Vazquez will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Phillies.

With Dansby Swanson resting in the series opener, Vazquez will pick up his second start in three games but just his second overall since being recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Aug. 23. Vazquez has logged just eight plate appearances between two stints with the Cubs on the season and is still looking for his first MLB hit.

The Phillies plan to activate Hays (kidney) from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's game versus the Cubs, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Hays will be given a rest day Monday after playing rehab games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday and Sunday before rejoining the Phillies' active roster Tuesday. He's missed most of this month while battling a kidney infection.
