Tristan Beck RP | SF
Giants' Tristan Beck: Moves up to big leagues
The Giants recalled Beck from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday.
He'll join the bullpen as a replacement for Ryan Borucki, whom the Giants designated for assignment. Beck made two scoreless relief appearances in the majors earlier this month but has spent most of the season at Sacramento, where he's turned in a 3.91 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB across 23 innings. He'll handle a low-leverage role while he's up with San Francisco.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado: Ready to go Sunday
Arenado (undisclosed) is starting at third base and batting cleanup Sunday against the Mariners.
Arenado was scratched from the lineup Saturday after dealing with arm and groin issues the past few days, but he's back in action one day later. The veteran third baseman enters the final day of May with nine doubles, two homers and an .886 OPS through 24 games this month.

Joe Mack C | MIA
Marlins' Joe Mack: Idle Sunday
Mack is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Mack will receive a breather after starting behind the plate in the first two contests of the series. Liam Hicks will fill in for Mack as the starting catcher.

MJ Melendez DH | NYM
Mets' MJ Melendez: Falling out of favor
Melendez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.
Melendez will be on the bench for the fourth straight game and appears to have lost hold of his strong-side platoon role at designated hitter. Jared Young will get a third consecutive start at DH after going 2-for-6 with a solo home run, a walk and two additional runs over the first two contests of the series.

Cam Sanders RP | PIT
Pirates' Cam Sanders: Back in big leagues
The Pirates recalled Sanders from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.
The right-hander will rejoin the Pirates for Sunday's series finale versus the Twins as Carmen Mlodzinski (personal) heads to the restricted list in a corresponding move. Sanders has made five appearances for Pittsburgh this season and has given up six earned runs with a 7:5 K:BB across five innings.

Carmen Mlodzinski RP | PIT
Pirates' Carmen Mlodzinski: Lands on restricted list
The Pirates placed Mlodzinksi on the restricted list Sunday.
The official reasoning for the move hasn't been disclosed, but it's unlikely to be a coincidence that it comes just a few days after Mlodzinski was bumped from the starting rotation to the bullpen. The right-hander has a 3.76 ERA across 55 innings this season, though his 1.42 WHIP and 46:20 K:BB paint a less encouraging picture of his performance.

John King RP | MIA
Marlins' John King: Drawing start in bullpen game
King is slated to serve as the Marlins' opener for Sunday's game against the Mets, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Janson Junk had been set to start Sunday but was a late scratch before being placed on the 15-day injured list due to a right shin injury. King will make his first MLB start in what will be a bullpen day for Miami. The southpaw hasn't recorded more than four outs or thrown more than 20 pitches in any appearance this season, so he shouldn't be expected to work more than an inning or two.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Receiving rest Sunday
Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
Stephenson will be handed a routine day off after he started behind the plate in each of Cincinnati's last five games. P.J. Higgins will handle catching duties for the Reds in the series finale.

TJ Friedl CF | CIN
Reds' TJ Friedl: Sitting after three straight starts
Friedl is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.
He'll retreat to the bench after going 2-for-7 with a walk and a run scored over the past three games. Though he probably hasn't reclaimed a full-time role just yet, Friedl's playing time appears more secure than that of Matt McLain, who is on the bench for the third time in four games while the Reds shift Spencer Steer to second base and hand Will Benson a start in the outfield.
