Kepler is not in the lineup Sunday against the Nationals, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

After going 1-for-7 with three walks, a double, two runs and four strikeouts in the first two games of the season, Kepler will hit the bench Sunday with lefty Mitchell Parker taking the mound for Washington. Brandon Marsh will shift to left field while Johan Rojas mans center in the series finale.

Realmuto (foot) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Realmuto departed Saturday's contest for precautionary reasons due to a left foot contusion, and he'll miss at least one game due to the injury. Rafael Marchan will step in behind the plate to catch for right-hander Aaron Nola on Sunday.

Hoskins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Hoskins had started in both of the Brewers' first two games of the season, going 1-for-6 with a pair of walks and an RBI. He'll give way at first base Sunday to Jake Bauers, but Hoskins' spot in Milwaukee's everyday lineup should still be fairly secure with him coming off a 26-homer 2024 regular-season campaign.

The 31-year-old was scratched from Saturday's starting nine due to lower-back spasms and will sit for a second consecutive game Sunday. The Phillies have a team day off Tuesday after Monday's home opener versus the Rockies, so it's possible Turner is held out until Wednesday to provide him with four straight days of rest. Edmundo Sosa is receiving another start at shortstop Sunday.

Cruz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Marlins.

The 26-year-old has gone 2-for-10 with six walks, a homer, four stolen bases, three runs and two RBI through the first three games of the season, and he'll receive a breather for Sunday's series finale in Miami. Jack Suwinski is receiving the start in center field in place of Cruz.

Fraley is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

The lefty-hitting Fraley will head to the bench for the series finale while the Giants send southpaw Robbie Ray to the hill. Santiago Espinal will pick up the start in right field in place of Fraley, who started in the first two contests of the series and went hitless in seven at-bats.

Friedl is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

The lefty-swinging Friedl will get his first day off of the season while the Giants send southpaw Robbie Ray to the hill for the series finale. Matt McLain will settle into the leadoff spot in place of Friedl, who went 2-for-9 with an RBI and a run through the first two contests of the series.

Trevino is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.

With Tyler Stephenson (oblique) opening the season on the injured list, Trevino has stepped in as the Reds' top backstop, starting the first two contests behind the dish while going 0-for-5 with a walk. He'll be rested for Sunday's matinee in favor of Austin Wynns, but Trevino should continue to see the lion's share of the starts at catcher until Stephenson is deemed ready to make his 2025 debut.

Basabe (shoulder) appeared in Triple-A Sacramento's first two games of the season, going 0-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

Basabe dealt with a shoulder strain in spring training before he was optioned to minor-league camp March 10, but he looks to be fully healthy for the start of the season. He spent the 2024 season at Triple-A Durham in the Tampa Bay organization and slashed .248/.293/.336 with five home runs and four stolen bases across 283 plate appearances.

Hodge worked around two hits to pitch a scoreless inning of relief and earn a hold in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks. He struck out two.

After starter Shota Imanaga cruised through seven innings, Hodge came on in the eighth to protect a 4-1 lead. The righty promptly allowed consecutive singles to start the frame, but he wiggled out of trouble by recording two strikeouts sandwiched around a pop out, securing his second hold of the year in the process. Ryan Pressly worked the ninth for his first save of the season, though he also struggled and allowed two runs. Pressly is Chicago's closer for now, but Hodge could force a change at some point if he outperforms the veteran for an extended period of time.
