Smith is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Nationals.

It's a routine day off for Smith, who has now started 10 of 13 games this season. Austin Barnes will catch and bat ninth for the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Wilson suffered a left oblique strain back in late February and is finally ready to test things out in a game setting. Given how much time he's missed, he's likely to require a handful of rehab games before rejoining the Phillies' active roster.

Goodman is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Brewers.

It's the first day off this season for Goodman, who has made six starts at catcher and three starts at designated hitter in the Rockies' first nine games. Jacob Stallings is behind the dish and batting eighth Tuesday, while Kris Bryant is serving as the DH.

Veen will start in right field and bat seventh Tuesday against the Brewers in his major-league debut.

Veen was officially recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque earlier Tuesday and is set to receive regular playing time in the outfield for the Rockies in his first stint in the big leagues. The 23-year-old has seen his prospect stock slip a bit, but he nearly made the team out of spring training and the Rockies are giving him a shot after he got off to a .387/.472/.677 start at Albuquerque.

Double-A Biloxi placed Wichrowski on its 7-day injured list Friday due to an undisclosed injury.

Prior reports suggested that Wichrowski was held back in extended spring training because he was waiting for room to open up in an affiliate's rotation, but that didn't quite pass the smell test, and indeed, the power righty will open the season on the shelf. He had a 3.84 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 82 strikeouts in 89 innings last season, with the majority of his action coming at Double-A.

Bell is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Dodgers.

It's a routine day off for Bell, who is sporting just a .603 OPS on the season. James Wood is getting a start at designated hitter Tuesday for the Nationals while Alex Call handles left field.

Abrams (thigh) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Dodgers.

Abrams' right thigh tightened up on him during Sunday's contest against the Diamondbacks and he has now missed two straight starts. The 24-year-old is considered day-to-day. Paul DeJong will cover shortstop again Tuesday, and Amed Rosario will play third base.

Wade went 0-for-4 during Monday's 2-0 loss to the Reds.

Wade struck out twice Monday and is currently tied for the team-worst mark in strikeouts (13) over the club's first 10 outings. The 31-year-old started the season 0-for-16 in his first five appearances, though he had a two-game stretch in which he went 4-for-7 with a home run and two additional runs. However, Wade's struggles have continued in the Giants' last three games, as he's gone 0-for-11 while striking out six times. He's slashing .118/.162/.324 with four extra-base hits in 38 plate appearances this season.
