Pratt is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Mariners.

Pratt went 0-for-4 at the plate Wednesday in his return from the 10-day injured list. He's being eased back into action with a day off during Thursday's matinee. Joey Ortiz will hold down shortstop for the Brewers.

Contreras is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Mariners.

It's a rare day off for Contreras, who had started each of the previous 12 contests for the Brewers. Gary Sanchez will do the catching and will bat cleanup in Thursday's rubber match.

Mitchell (foot) will start in center field and bat seventh in Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Mitchell was held out of action Wednesday due to a sore foot, but he is feeling well enough to return to action for Thursday's series finale. The outfielder has been scuffling so far in August with a .173/.307/.192 batting line.

Doyle has posted a 1.82 ERA and 51:22 K:BB over 39.2 innings covering his last eight starts with Double-A Springfield.

Doyle logged nine strikeouts -- including six in a row at one point -- over five innings of one-run ball in his last outing Wednesday. Walks have been an issue throughout the season for Doyle, but the control has been better over his last four starts as evidenced by a 10.0 percent walk rate. Doyle looks ready to be challenged at Triple-A Memphis, though it's unclear if there are plans to promote the first-round draft pick.

King made his professional debut at third base Wednesday with Triple-A Rochester, going 3-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI.

The 23-year-old has been one of the hottest hitters in the minors of late, hitting safely in 10 straight games while compiling a .463/.532/.951 slash line with six homers and three steals. King's gone yard in three straight games, and the defensive switch from shortstop to third base did nothing to slow his momentum. He's not expected to get a late-season promotion to the majors and isn't on the 40-man roster yet, but if he adapts well to playing the hot corner, King could head into spring training next year with a real chance to win the Opening Day starting job.

The Giants recalled Sanmartin from Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.

Sanmartin was just sent down Wednesday, but he'll return a day later to take the roster spot of the injured Keaton Winn (elbow). The left-handed Sanmartin has logged a 7.11 ERA, 2.05 WHIP and 6:2 K:BB over 6.1 innings during his time in San Francisco this season.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Guardians.

Devers lined a double to center field in the fourth inning before coming around to score San Francisco's lone run. The veteran infielder has logged at least one hit in four of his last five outings and is now batting .220 with nine runs scored, eight RBI and three home runs in 66 plate appearances in August. On the campaign, he's slashing .244/.317/.471 with 69 RBI, 66 runs scored, 25 long balls and a 26.5 percent strikeout rate across 533 plate appearances.

The Giants placed Winn on the 15-day injured list Thursday with right elbow neuritis.

Winn missed more than a month of action earlier this season with a right elbow strain, and he will now be shelved for at least the next couple weeks. Reiver Sanmartin is taking Winn's spot on the Giants' roster.

Adames went 3-for-4 in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Cleveland.

After missing four straight games with back spasms, Adames returned to action Wednesday. The veteran shortstop hit singles in the first, sixth and eighth innings, marking his sixth game of the season recording three or more hits. He's batting .262 through 49 plate appearances in August and is now slashing .229/.288/.416 with 59 runs scored, 48 RBI, 19 long balls and five stolen bases across 489 plate appearances this season.

Suarez is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cardinals.

Suarez will receive a routine day of rest after being in the lineup for each of the previous 16 contests. Elly De La Cruz is getting a designated-hitter day, while Ke'Bryan Hayes will handle third base for the Reds.
