Gordon was returned to Triple-A Albuquerque following Colorado's doubleheader against the Tigers on Thursday.

Gordon started the second game of the doubleheader and was knocked around for seven runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk across 6.1 innings. While he took the loss, he did manage to give the Rockies some length to avoid overtaxing the bullpen. The outing was Gordon's ninth overall start in the majors, and there's a strong chance he's back in Colorado at some point later in the summer.

Sheehan (elbow) threw around 40 pitches in a simulated game Thursday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Sheehan has been throwing off a mound since late March and progressively increasing his workload. Manager Dave Roberts didn't have an exact timeline for Sheehan to begin a rehab assignment, but did say that step could come soon. Roberts also confirmed that Sheehan will be built up to be a starter.

Gonsolin will start Sunday against the Diamondbacks, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Gonsolin was slated to start Tuesday against the Athletics, but the Dodgers will bypass a bullpen game Sunday and instead start him on regular rest. Gonsolin has been sharp in two starts this season, maintaining a 17:2 K:BB across 11 frames of work.

Casparius will work in a relief role during the Dodgers' weekend series against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Casparius worked in a bulk-relief role and earned a win after completing four innings against the Marlins on Monday. He was projected to start or work multiple innings again Sunday, though manager Dave Roberts suggested that Casparius would instead take on a more traditional relief role. Tony Gonsolin will start Sunday for Los Angeles.

Manager Torey Lovullo said Thursday that Puk is no longer feeling any symptoms in his left elbow, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Puk has been sidelined since April 19 due to a strained flexor tendon and was then shifted to the 60-day injured list May 1. While he'll still face an extended absence, it's a positive sign that he's no longer feeling significant pain in his elbow.

Martini isn't in the lineup for the final game of Thursday's doubleheader against Detroit.

Martini went 1-for-2 and scored a run before being lifted for a pinch hitter during a blowout loss in Game 1, and he'll stay put in the Rockies' dugout to begin Game 2. His absence will move Hunter Goodman into the DH spot while Jacob Stallings starts behind the plate and bats ninth.

Trejo isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Tigers.

After going 0-for-2 with a sacrifice fly in the early game, Trejo will get a chance to rest during the nightcap while Kyle Farmer starts at shortstop and bats seventh.

Amador isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against Detroit.

Amador went 0-for-3 during a blowout loss in Game 1, dropping his batting average down to just .152 on the year. He'll grab a seat on the bench for the final half of Thursday's activities, opening up second base for Owen Miller.

Moreno (side) will start at catcher and bat sixth Thursday against the Dodgers, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Moreno hadn't started either of the Diamondbacks' previous two games due to a bit of soreness in his left side, though he did enter Wednesday's contest as a pinch hitter. He'll now rejoin the starting nine Thursday and look to jumpstart his bat after going 3-for-13 with two runs and four strikeouts since the start of May.

Triple-A Memphis activated Helman (undisclosed) from the 7-day injured list Thursday.

Helman missed nearly three weeks of action with an undisclosed injury. He's slashed only .204/.283/.278 with Memphis this season, and the Cardinals seem likely to turn to Thomas Saggese or Jose Fermin before Helman if they need a utility player.
