Moreno (side) will start at catcher and bat sixth Thursday against the Dodgers, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Moreno hadn't started either of the Diamondbacks' previous two games due to a bit of soreness in his left side, though he did enter Wednesday's contest as a pinch hitter. He'll now rejoin the starting nine Thursday and look to jumpstart his bat after going 3-for-13 with two runs and four strikeouts since the start of May.

Triple-A Memphis activated Helman (undisclosed) from the 7-day injured list Thursday.

Helman missed nearly three weeks of action with an undisclosed injury. He's slashed only .204/.283/.278 with Memphis this season, and the Cardinals seem likely to turn to Thomas Saggese or Jose Fermin before Helman if they need a utility player.

Greene suffered a Grade 1 right groin strain during his start Wednesday against Atlanta, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Greene's injury forced him to make an early exit after just three innings Wednesday, and manager Terry Francona confirmed Thursday that the right-hander will land on the injured list, per Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News. A replacement for Greene in Cincinnati's rotation will likely be named once his move to the IL is official; meanwhile, the 25-year-old will be held out until at least late May.

Realmuto (foot) will start at catcher and bat seventh in Thursday's contest versus the Rays.

Realmuto was forced to depart Wednesday's game against the Rays after fouling a ball off his left foot, but the injury will not prevent him from starting in the series finale. The 34-year-old catcher was hitless in the first two games of the series but did draw a couple walks.

Kopech (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Kopech began the season on the injured list due to forearm inflammation, but a right shoulder impingement has extended his absence by a couple of months. It's unclear how long the Dodgers plan on keeping the 29-year-old in the minors, but once active, Kopech should play an important role in a Dodgers bullpen that's been decimated by injuries this year.

Fraley (calf) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Atlanta.

Fraley tweaked his left calf Tuesday after entering the game off the bench and will now miss a second straight start. He was set to undergo an MRI, but the results have not been made available, so consider Fraley day-to-day for the time being. Rece Hinds is drawing another start in right field Thursday.

The Cubs are expected to call up Horton from Triple-A Iowa for this weekend's series against the Mets, Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register reports.

The Cubs need a starter to fill in for the injured Shota Imanaga (hamstring), and signs were pointing to Horton after Chris Flexen was used in relief Tuesday and Wednesday. Horton is likely to make his major-league debut with a start Saturday, although the team has not yet confirmed it. A first-round pick in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft, Horton was limited to only nine starts in 2024 due to shoulder problems, but in 2025 he's posted a 1.24 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 33:13 K:BB over 29 innings covering six starts with Iowa. He could make additional starts after Saturday if he pitches well.

Freeman (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque this weekend, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Out since mid-April with a left oblique strain, Freeman has been cleared for game action and shouldn't require too many rehab at-bats before rejoining the Rockies' active roster. The versatile 25-year-old has various paths to playing time if he can perform well, although the career .221/.304/.324 hitter is no safe bet in that regard.

The Rockies recalled Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of his scheduled start in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Tigers at Coors Field.

Gordon is being designated as the Rockies' 27th man for the twin bill, so he's expected to be returned to Albuquerque immediately after the second game of the day. Over his six starts with Albuquerque this season, Gordon has turned in a 4.82 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 22:6 K:BB across 28 innings.

Rosario went 3-for-5 with a walk, a double, a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Guardians.

Getting the start at third base against southpaw Logan Allen and batting second, Rosario produced his second three-hit effort in his last three games. The veteran infielder has boosted his slash line on the season to .279/.300/.442 with two homers, one steal, nine RBI and 11 runs in 70 plate appearances, but he remains stuck in a timeshare at the hot corner with Jose Tena.
