Chapman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Twins.

Chapman smashed his third homer already in the month of May. Over his last 29 at-bats, the veteran third baseman is batting a strong .310 with three big flies, eight RBI, eight runs scored and one stolen base. Chapman has now reached base safely in eight consecutive outings, and his 29 walks on the campaign rank third in the major leagues.

Keller will start Saturday's game against the Mets, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Manager Craig Counsell said the Cubs are going to rely on their bullpen to get through Saturday's contest, and Keller will be the one to get things started for the North Siders. The 29-year-old owns a 3.78 ERA and 1.26 WHIP through 16.2 innings this season and isn't likely to last more than one or two frames in what will be his first start of the year. Once he exits, there's a good chance the Cubs turn to Cade Horton to pitch in bulk relief in what will be his MLB debut.

Hicks (1-4) took the loss Friday against the Twins after allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out six.

It was just the second quality start of the season for Hicks, who also fanned at least six for only the third time in eight starts this season. The hard-throwing right-hander has given up at least three runs in six outings already this year, pitching seven innings on a lone occasion. Hicks will take an underwhelming 5.82 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB over 43.1 frames into his next scheduled appearance versus the Diamondbacks, who ranked fifth in runs scored (191) entering Friday's action.

Elder (2-2) took the loss against the Pirates on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out eight across six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Elder faced the minimum number of batters in four of the first five innings, though he was tagged for a solo home run by Alexander Canario in the third. Elder yielded two more runs in the sixth frame, but he was able to complete the inning to earn his third quality start in his last four outings. He'll take a 4.97 ERA and 1.29 WHIP into his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Nationals.

Triolo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over Atlanta.

Triolo, who entered Friday's game 2-for-25 over his last 11 games, extended the Pirates' lead to two runs in the sixth inning when he took Bryce Elder deep to left field for a solo shot. Triolo has been struggling at the plate as of late, but he should continue to see plenty of starts at shortstop due to Isiah Kiner-Falefa (hamstring) being on the 10-day injured list.

Canario went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over Atlanta.

Canario got the scoring started in the third inning when he took Bryce Elder deep to right field for a solo home run. It was Canario's second home run of the season, and he has logged at least one hit in four of his last five games. He has picked up more starts in the outfield as of late due to Tommy Pham's poor start to the season.

Santana collected his fifth save of the season Friday against Atlanta, allowing two runs on three hits in the ninth inning. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.

It was a low-scoring affair Friday, and Santana was brought in to protect the Pirates' three-run lead in the ninth inning. He was on the back foot immediately after giving up a triple, and after yielding two runs on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single, he was able to close things out by getting Ozzie Albies to fly out to center field. This was far from a convincing performance from Santana, who is competing with David Bednar for saves in Pittsburgh. Santana has a 2.35 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB across 15.1 innings this season.

Falter (2-3) earned the win against Atlanta on Friday, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out three over six scoreless innings.

After yielding three baserunners in the first two innings, Falter proceeded to face the minimum in three of the next four en route to his second scoreless outing of the year. He hasn't generated a ton of whiffs or strikeouts this season, but the 28-year-old southpaw has allowed three earned runs or fewer in six of eight starts and has a 4.36 ERA and 1.13 WHIP over 43.1 innings this season. Falter's next start is tentatively slated for next week on the road against the Mets.

The Reds transferred Callihan (forearm) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Callihan isn't expected to rejoin the Reds until after the All-Star break after fracturing his left forearm Monday. This transaction opens a spot on the 40-man roster for Connor Joe, who was acquired Friday in a trade with the Padres.

The Reds traded Moore to the Padres on Friday in exchange for Connor Joe.

Moore, 25, has spent the entire season at Double-A Chattanooga, where he owns a 4.15 ERA and 1.34 WHIP alongside a 12:8 K:BB through 8.2 innings. He'll presumably report to Double-A San Antonio now that he's in the Padres organization and look to make a push toward Triple-A El Paso.
