Caminiti (forearm) struck out three and allowed two earned runs on three hits and one walk across 2.1 innings in his season debut Friday for Atlanta's rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.

The No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Caminiti made his professional debut with Single-A Augusta late last season, but he stuck around at Atlanta's complex in Florida following spring training while he recovered from forearm tendinitis. The injury was never viewed as a major concern, as Atlanta had likely always planned to manage the 18-year-old lefty's workload in his first full pro season. He'll likely report to Augusta once he gets a few FCL starts under his belt.

Strider (hamstring) said that he feels ready to return from the 15-day injured list, but Atlanta has yet to decide whether he'll be activated during the upcoming week or go on a minor-league rehab assignment, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Strider has been on the shelf since April 21 due to a Grade 1 right hamstring strain, which he sustained while playing catch. He received a platelet-poor plasma injection two days later that he credits with hastening his recovery. The right-hander has responded well to bullpen sessions Wednesday and Saturday, but Atlanta may want to have him face hitters in a simulated game or in a minor-league rehab start before bringing him back from the IL. If Strider is cleared to return during the upcoming week, his workload could be managed carefully in what would be his first outing since April 16. Per Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com, Atlanta has already confirmed its starting pitchers through Thursday, so there wouldn't be an opening for Strider in the rotation until at least Friday.

Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Drake Baldwin will get the nod behind the plate while Murphy rests for the day game. Since the beginning of May, Murphy has gone 4-for-26 with a 3:10 BB:K. His ongoing slump could compel Atlanta manager Brian Snitker to turn the catcher spot into more of a timeshare between Murphy and Baldwin, who owns an .808 OPS on the season.

Pages is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Pages started behind the dish in each of the previous three games, but he's likely to see his playing time take a hit moving forward after the Cardinals activated No. 1 backstop Ivan Herrera (knee) from the injured list Friday. Herrera has made both of his first two starts since returning as a designated hitter, but he should see the bulk of his starts as a catcher when the Cardinals face righties.

Burleson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Though he has emerged as a regular in the St. Louis lineup against right-handed pitching, Burleson will continue to sit against southpaws like MacKenzie Gore. With Burleson on the bench, Ivan Herrera will get a look in the designated-hitter spot.

Young is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

He'll head to the bench after starting each of the Nationals' last 12 games while slashing .220/.273/.268 with three stolen bases, seven runs and four RBI. With Young out of the lineup, the Nationals will deploy an outfield of James Wood, Dylan Crews and Alex Call from left to right.

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Ruiz will get the afternoon off after he started behind the dish in each of the Nationals' last three contests. Riley Adams will handle catching duties in the series finale.

The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.

The right-hander gave up two runs over four frames in a no-decision Saturday versus the Rays, and it appears he'll be the odd man out of the rotation with Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) and Aaron Civale (hamstring) nearing their returns from the injured list. Myers missed most of the first month of the season due to an oblique strain and never fully found his footing through five outings with a 3.86 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 11:10 K:BB across 16.1 innings. The 26-year-old was a key rotation piece for Milwaukee last season and will likely get another look in the majors before too long.

Rodriguez struck out the side in a scoreless eighth inning during Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Twins.

Rodriguez tossed his fourth consecutive scoreless outing Saturday, throwing 10 of his 12 pitches for strikes in an extremely efficient effort. The right-hander has allowed just two earned runs all season, both of which came in a loss to the Padres on April 29. The 25-year-old owns a 1.08 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and a 24:2 K:BB across 16.2 innings in 16 appearances.

Gibaut (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.

Gibaut has been on the shelf since April 26 due to a right shoulder impingement, but he appears to be nearing the finish line in his recovery. He'll likely make at least a couple rehab appearances for Louisville before the Reds consider bringing him back from the 15-day injured list.
