Hill went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Cubs.

Making his return from the injured list, Hill spoiled Colin Rea's shutout bid by driving a fastball over the fence in left-center field in the seventh inning. The 29-year-old outfielder had been out since April 16 due to a wrist injury, but with Dane Myers (oblique) taking his place on the IL, Hill figures to get regular run in center field for the Marlins despite his offensive struggles. Through 52 plate appearances this season, he's slashing .174/.240/.348 with two homers, three steals, five RBI and eight runs, and after fanning twice Monday, he's saddled with a 36.5 percent strikeout rate.

Lee struck out both batters he faced Monday to record his sixth hold of the season in a 4-3 win over the Nationals.

The southpaw fanned Josh Bell and Dylan Crews to close out the seventh inning and protect a 3-1 lead. Raisel Iglesias blew his third save of the season in the ninth however, and if the veteran closer's recent struggles cause him to be removed from ninth-inning duties, Lee and right-hander Pierce Johnson would appear to be the top options to handle save situations in his place. Through 16.2 innings over 18 appearances this season, Lee sports a 2.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB.

Mathews (shoulder) will make a rehab start this week with the Cardinals' Florida Complex League affiliate, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Mathews resumed a throwing program in late April as he bounces back from mild left shoulder soreness, and he's now ready to pitch in games. The left-hander will eventually move back up to Triple-A Memphis, where he posted a 6.10 ERA and 7:15 K:BB over his first 10.1 innings before getting injured.

Iglesias (3-3) blew the save but picked up the win Monday in a 4-3 victory over the Nationals, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk in an inning of relief. He struck out one.

The beleaguered closer had another rough night as he coughed up a two-run lead in the top of the ninth, although Atlanta walked it off in the bottom of the frame. A Nick Allen error didn't help, but Iglesias has been tagged for eight hits and five runs (four earned) over his last three appearances, leaving him with an alarming 6.06 ERA and 1.41 WHIP through 16.1 innings despite a 19:4 K:BB. He's converted just six of nine saves chances, and his average fastball velocity has slipped to 94.7 mph, his lowest mark since 2016. Pierce Johnson (2.45 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, 17:4 K:BB through 14.2 IP) and Dylan Lee (2.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, 18:6 K:BB in 16.2 IP) both appear capable of stepping up in save situations if Atlanta decided to move Iglesias into a lower-leverage role while he sorts things out.

Tawa is expected to see most of his opportunities in the outfield moving forward after the Diamondbacks called up infielder Jordan Lawlar from Triple-A Reno on Monday, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Tawa remained on the roster following Lawlar's promotion, with Arizona instead designating infielder/outfielder Garrett Hampson for assignment. Tawa had filled in at second base when Ketel Marte was on the injured list earlier this season and had served as a utility infielder since Marte's return. Lawlar will now step in as the club's top utility infielder while Tawa transitions to an outfield role, which will include occasional action in center field. He made one start in left field for the Diamondbacks this season and 26 across the outfield in 2024 while in the minors. He could serve as the right-handed batting complement to Alek Thomas in center field.

Adames went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Adames lined a double into left field during the fifth inning before coming around to score the Giants' lone run. The 29-year-old shortstop has struggled in his last five games, batting .190 with a 1:10 BB:K across 22 plate appearances during that span. Adames is now slashing .218/.296/.339 with 24 runs scored, 19 RBI, eight doubles and four home runs across 186 plate appearances this season.

Ramos went 3-for-4 in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Ramos logged three singles in the loss, recording at least three hits for the fourth time this season. The 25-year-old outfielder has been on a tear recently, batting .650 with seven RBI, four runs scored, three doubles and two homers across 25 plate appearances in his last six games. Ramos is now slashing .290/.356/.490 with 28 runs scored, 19 RBI and a 13:40 BB:K across 174 plate appearances in the 2025 campaign.

Merrill (illness) went 3-for-4 with an RBI triple and two runs scored in Monday's 9-5 loss to the Angels.

Merrill missed one back while under the weather, but it shouldn't be an issue moving forward. In his return to the lineup, he delivered his fifth straight multi-hit effort since a month-long absence with a hamstring injury. The last three of those games have featured three or more hits each. In other words, he hasn't lost any momentum after a blistering start to the season prior to his stay on the injured list. He's batting .467 with four home runs, 17 RBI, 14 runs scored, four doubles, one triple and a stolen base across 65 plate appearances.

Suarez (0-1) allowed five runs on a hit and four walks while striking out one over one-third of an inning, taking the loss and a blown save in Monday's 9-5 loss to the Angels.

Suarez had been one of the most dominant closers in the majors prior to this outing. He threw just 16 of 33 pitches for strikes in the laborious outing, which saw him strike out the leadoff batter before allowing a hit and four straight walks. That left the bases loaded, and Alek Jacob gave up a grand slam to Taylor Ward to complete the Padres' bullpen collapse. Even with a five-run meltdown on his line, Suarez still has a 3.00 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 19:8 K:BB over 18 innings this season. He's also 15-for-16 in save chances. His status as San Diego's closer won't be called into question after just one bad outing.

King allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Monday.

King came up an out short of a quality start, and he was also denied the win after Robert Suarez's meltdown in the ninth inning. This was just the third time all year King has given up three runs, and he's yet to give up more than that in any start. He's now at a 2.32 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 56:16 K:BB over 50.1 innings across nine starts. The 29-year-old right-hander continues to be one of the best pitchers in the majors early in the campaign. He'll look to keep things rolling with a home start versus the Mariners this weekend.
