Gore escaped with a no-decision in Friday's win over the Orioles, giving up two runs on 10 hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out nine.

It was a bizarrely historic performance for the southpaw, as per Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post, it was the first time in MLB history a pitcher threw fewer than four innings while recording at least 10 hits allowed and nine Ks. Gore's control has begun to regress, as he's issued nine walks in 15.1 innings over his last three starts, but that's come with 25 strikeouts and a palatable 4.11 ERA. He leads the majors with 84 Ks, 10 ahead of Zack Wheeler, and he'll look to tighten things up in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against Atlanta.

Fitzgerald (rib) went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a walk in Friday's 9-1 win over the Athletics.

Fitzgerald was placed on the 10-day injured list May 1 due to a left rib fracture but was reinstated Friday after a brief rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento. The 27-year-old infielder drew a walk in the third inning before coming around to score on a grand slam by Wilmer Flores. Fitzgerald also lined his fifth double of the 2025 campaign. He's now slashing .286/.348/.440 with two homers, five steals, 15 runs scored, seven RBI and a 7:22 BB:K across 94 plate appearances this season.

Sanchez went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in Friday's win over the Rays.

Getting the start in right field and batting leadoff, Sanchez crossed the plate in the first, fourth and sixth innings in a comfortable 9-4 victory. It was the 27-year-old outfielder's first time this season at the very top of the order, as Xavier Edwards (back) got the night off Friday, but Sanchez has mainly been batting second against right-handed pitching and has produced a .364 OBP over his last 10 games. Those on-base skills have come with a surprising lack of power, however -- Sanchez doesn't have an extra-base hit in May, and after slugging a career-high 18 homers in 2024, he has only one long ball through 25 games in 2025.

Henriquez struck out one in a perfect sixth inning Friday to record his fifth hold of the season in a win over the Rays.

The back of the Marlins' bullpen has been something of a mess so far this season, but Henriquez has been one of the few bright spots. The 24-year-old righty was claimed off waivers from Minnesota during spring training and has delivered a 2.14 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB through his first 18 appearances and 21 innings with Miami. Jesus Tinoco, Calvin Faucher and Anthony Bender have been manager Clayton McCullough's most frequently used high-leverage arms, but Henriquez is making a push to join that group.

Alvarez isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

After going 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in Friday's series opener, Alvarez will step out of the lineup Saturday to give Luis Torrens a chance to start behind the dish.

Murphy went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Red Sox.

The backstop went back-to-back with Matt Olson in the second inning off Garrett Crochet. It was Murphy's eighth homer in 28 contests this season but his first long ball since April 26, snapping a 12-game drought. With Drake Baldwin surging, Murphy may need to pick up the pace at the plate to avoid losing even more playing time to the rookie.

Solak went 1-for-3 against the Phillies on Friday.

Solak made his first big-league appearance since 2022 and singled to left field in his first at-bat. He started at first base, but Spencer Horwitz (wrist) is expected back at some point during the team's weekend series. However, Solak is also capable of playing nearly every defensive position, so he could settle into a utility role if he sticks in the majors.

Pagan pitched a perfect ninth inning while striking out a batter to collect his 10th save of the season in Friday's 5-4 win over the Guardians.

After giving up four runs in 1.2 innings and taking a loss against the White Sox in his previous outing, Pagan did a great job rebounding against Cleveland. He retired all three batters he faced on 16 pitches, ending the game with a six-pitch strikeout of Gabriel Arias. By collecting his 10th save, Pagan has now reached double digits for the first time since 2019.

Canario went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored Friday against the Phillies.

Canario was the primary source of the Pirates' offense, tallying his third home run of the season. He has started seven consecutive games and gone 10-for-24 with a pair of homers, two doubles, four RBI and four runs scored in that span.

Cruz (back) entered Friday's game against the Phillies in the ninth inning as a pinch hitter and struck out.

Cruz made his first appearance since May 10 due to lower-back tightness. He was originally deemed day-to-day, and he may be ready to re-enter the lineup Saturday after sitting for the start of the last five contests.
