Garcia went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 10-6 win over the Orioles.

Garcia hit a two-run single in the first inning and drove in another run on a double in the second. The second baseman has gone just 9-for-45 in so far in May but has tallied multi-hit efforts in each of his past two starts. On the season, he's hitting .229 with three home runs, 16 RBI, 19 runs scored and six steals across 157 plate appearances.

Irvin (3-1) earned the win against the Orioles on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

Irvin was given a six-run cushion in the first inning and ran with it, tossing six scoreless frames before giving up two runs in the seventh. In three May outings, the 28-year-old has allowed seven earned runs and logged two quality starts, though he's managed just seven total strikeouts in that span. On the season, he owns a 3.88 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 40:17 K:BB across 60.1 innings and lines up for a home matchup with the Giants next weekend.

Swanson went 2-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run, two additional runs scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 7-3 win over the White Sox.

The Cubs ran wild in this one, going 6-for-6 on steal attempts against young catcher Edgar Quero, and Swanson got in on the action to snap an 18-game stretch without a pilfer while also doing damage with his bat. The shortstop has five multi-hit performances in his last 11 contests, a surge that has seen him bat .389 (14-for-36) with three of his 10 homers on the season, along with eight RBI and nine runs.

Tucker went 0-for-2 with three walks and two stolen bases in Saturday's 7-3 win over the White Sox.

The Cubs ran wild in this one, going 6-for-6 on steal attempts against young catcher Edgar Quero, and Tucker was able to make an impact even without collecting a hit. Tucker himself is 12-for-12 on the basepaths in 46 contests this season and hasn't been caught stealing since Sept. 11, 2023, successfully swiping 25 straight bags since then. The rest of his line in 2025 isn't too shabby either -- he's slashing .264/.377/.528 with 10 homers, 33 RBI and 34 runs, putting him on pace for his first career 30-30 campaign.

Boyd (4-2) picked up the win Saturday, giving up three runs on four hits over six innings in a 7-3 victory over the White Sox. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

The veteran southpaw did serve up solo shots to Chase Meidroth in the first inning and Tim Elko in the fifth, but otherwise Boyd was firmly in control as he delivered his third straight quality start and sixth of the year. The eight Ks tied his season high, and Boyd will take a 2.98 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 53:13 K:BB through 51.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Cincinnati.

Treinen (forearm) began playing catch Friday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

This marked Treinen's first activity since hitting the injured list April 19. He isn't eligible to be activated until June 18, and he still has to go through a lot of rehab work before it will be clear if returning around the 60-day minimum will be a reasonable expectation.

Soto went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Yankees.

The superstar outfielder isn't known for his prowess on the basepaths -- his career high in steals is 12, a mark he last reached in 2023 -- but Soto has now successfully swiped a bag in three straight games and is a perfect 5-for-5 through 45 contests as a Met. He's also drawn 14 free passes through 14 games in May, helping to boost his slash line on the year to .252/.386/.454 with eight homers, 20 RBI and 33 runs.

Diaz struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 10th save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Yankees.

The veteran right-hander's adrenaline was pumping, and Diaz topped out at 100 mph on a fastball before fanning Aaron Judge with a 98.6 mph heater to end the game. That's a big step up from the career-low 96.6 mph Diaz has been averaging with the pitch this season, and it's an encouraging sign as he produced his eighth straight appearance without allowing an earned run. The 31-year-old sports a 3.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB through 18 innings, and he's a perfect 10-for-10 in converting save chances.

Ohtani (elbow) threw an up-down bullpen session Saturday that totaled 50 pitches, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani split his work evenly between two simulated innings, with this session marking the most pitches he's thrown as he continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery. The right-hander hasn't yet progressed to throwing breaking pitches, but he could begin to face hitters soon. Offensively, the two-way star continues to provide one of the most productive bats in the sport with a .305/.404/.667 slash line, 16 homers and 10 steals through 44 games.

Canning came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Yankees, giving up two runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander saw his streak of five straight starts allowing one run or fewer come to an end, but it was still a stingy performance. Canning racked up 30 called or swinging strikes among his 92 pitches (64 total strikes), and he'll take a 2.47 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB through 47.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Dodgers.
