Gore (leg) is scheduled to start Thursday's game against the Mariners, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

The left-hander exited his most recent start Friday against the Giants due to tightness in his left leg, but the injury won't stop him from making his next turn through the rotation. Gore has a 3.47 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 93:21 K:BB across 62.1 innings this season, with his 36.2 percent strikeout rate representing an increase of more than 11 percentage points from his first three MLB campaigns.

White is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres.

After holding down an everyday spot in the lineup for the past month, White looks set to receive little more than the occasional start moving forward after star right fielder Ronald Acuna completed his recovery from ACL surgery and returned to the lineup Friday. Acuna will start his third straight game Sunday to close out the weekend, and White has now been on the bench for each of those contests. The 30-year-old was able to provide a modicum of fantasy value during his stretch of 26 consecutive starts from April 23 through Thursday, slashing .280/.314/.460 with two home runs, four stolen bases, 13 RBI and 17 runs.

Lockridge is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

Lockridge will hit the bench for the series finale after he had started in left field and batted ninth in each of the previous three games while going 0-for-6 with a stolen base and a run scored. The Padres have been using Lockridge as a short-side platoon player for most of the season, but he could get the chance to play more frequently against right-handed pitching after Jason Heyward (oblique) landed on the injured list Saturday.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game in Atlanta.

Diaz is getting a routine breather after he had started behind the dish in each of the Padres' last three contests. Martin Maldonado will handle catching duties in the series finale.

Hill will start in center field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Angels.

Hill will crack the lineup for the third time in four games and appears to be making a case for steady playing time while his production at the plate has begun to trend up. Over the past week, Hill has gone 6-for-12 with a double, two walks, two stolen bases and one run.

Hicks is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Hicks is on the bench for the fourth time in five games and appears to be fading into more of a part-time role despite upholding a stellar 1.117 OPS thus far in May. Though top backstop Agustin Ramirez often makes starts as a designated hitter, Nick Fortes continues to factor into the mix for work at catcher, which has prevented Hicks from taking on a larger share of the playing time behind the plate.

Nola (ankle) isn't expected to resume throwing off a mound until the Phillies return home from their road trip that concludes Sunday in Sacramento, MLB.com reports.

After landing on the injured list May 16 due to a right ankle sprain, Nola was hopeful to throw a bullpen session this weekend during the Phillies' three-game series versus the Athletics, but it never materialized while he continued to experience some soreness, according to Matt Gelb of The Athletic. Assuming he's still able to get back on the mound within the next few days, Nola's return shouldn't be pushed back too much further, though the right-hander no longer looks to be a candidate to come off the 15-day injured list this Thursday when first eligible. With Nola still working through the ankle injury, Taijuan Walker is expected to make at least one more turn through the Philadelphia rotation.

The Padres optioned Jacob to Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

Jacob has been up with San Diego all season and had been pitching decently with a 3.34 ERA through 20 appearances, but he surrendered 10 earned runs over his past two outings, including four runs Saturday in Atlanta. The right-hander will head to the minors in favor of Omar Cruz, who will bolster the Padres' bullpen depth.

The Padres recalled Cruz from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday.

The left-hander cracked San Diego's Opening Day roster but was sent down in early April after making just two appearances in the majors. Cruz is rejoining the Padres as bullpen depth Sunday after posting a 3.20 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 21:17 K:BB across 19.2 innings with El Paso.

Spikerman was placed on High-A Jersey Shore's 7-day injured list April 4 due to an unspecified injury.

A 2024 draft pick, Spikerman has yet to debut in the South Atlantic League while he tends to an unspecified injury. He appeared to be on the cusp of a return to Jersey Shore after beginning a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on May 3 before moving up to Single-A Clearwater, but he's been out of action since May 7.
