Arenado (ribs) is starting at third base and batting sixth Tuesday against the Orioles.

As expected, Arenado is back in action after sitting out Monday to rest after he fell into the crowd to make a catch Sunday. Arenado has never hit lower than .253 over a full MLB season, but his average sits at .234 entering play Tuesday. The 34-year-old third baseman has provided five home runs, 23 runs, 25 RBI and one steal in 49 games.

The Rockies reinstated Vodnik (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

The right-hander had been sidelined by shoulder inflammation for more than a month, but he's back on the active roster after a two-outing rehab assignment with Double-A Hartford. Vodnik recorded one save with a 4.50 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB across eight innings prior to the injury and should be in the high-leverage mix for Colorado. However, Zach Agnos and Seth Halvorsen appear to be the current favorites for save opportunities.

Thielbar, who retired two batters in Monday's 3-1 win over the Rockies without allowing a run to record a hold, now has a 2.37 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through 22 appearances this season.

Thielbar has pitched well in his first year with the Cubs, and he's now gone eight straight appearances without allowing a run. The veteran lefty struggled last season in Minnesota, posting a 5.32 ERA and 1.56 WHIP across 59 games, but his 2025 figures are closer to his career marks of a 3.32 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. Thielbar should remain a key member of Chicago's bullpen, particularly due to his success against left-handed hitters. Batters from the same side are only hitting .071 against Thielbar this year.

Gasser (elbow) was cleared to resume throwing bullpen sessions back in mid-April, MLB.com reports.

Updates on Gasser's status have been limited since the conclusion of spring training, as he's remained in Arizona to conduct his rehab program for his June 2024 Tommy John surgery. He advanced to throwing off flat ground out to 120 feet by the end of camp and has presumably been ramping up the intensity of his bullpen sessions over the past six weeks. The next step in Gasser's recovery process will be facing live hitters, but it's unclear when he'll be ready to do so. Gasser is unlikely to make his return from the 60-day injured list until August or September in a best-case scenario.

Morgan retired both batters he faced in Monday's victory versus Miami.

Morgan was called up from Triple-A El Paso on Sunday and made his major-league debut one day later. The 25-year-old right-hander entered in the eighth inning and needed just six pitches (four of which were strikes) to retire the two batters he faced. Morgan has posted a 6.91 ERA while allowing five homers over 14.1 frames across two minor-league levels this season, but his impressive 30:2 K:BB is likely what led to San Diego's decision to bring him up, at least temporarily, to provide some support for the big club's bullpen.

Hall (1-0) picked up a win while working 2.1 innings of relief in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Red Sox, allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out one.

Fresh off being activated from the 60-day injured list Monday after missing the first two months of the season due to a left lat strain, Hall was quickly thrust into action. With starter Chad Patrick getting lifted from the game with two outs and a runner on second base in the top of the fifth, Hall came out of the bullpen to record the final out of the frame and then covered the next two innings before walking the lone batter he faced in the eighth. The Milwaukee bullpen was able to preserve the lead for the rest of the game, allowing Hall to come away with the win in his season debut. Hall had gotten stretched out to three innings during his rehab assignment and could be a candidate to make a start or bulk-relief appearance this weekend in Philadelphia, but the Brewers haven't confirmed their plans for the young southpaw.

Ashcraft allowed two hits and one walk while striking out one across three scoreless relief innings Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Ashcraft was promoted to the majors Monday and immediately made his debut working out of the bullpen. He pitched with the Pirates down by five but managed a scoreless outing and preserved the team's bullpen. Ashcraft may remain in a long-relief role for the time being, but as one of the organization's best prospects, he should have a chance to enter the rotation at some point during the summer.

Walker is slated to start Friday's game against the Brewers in Philadelphia, Theo DeRosa of MLB.com reports.

Aaron Nola is eligible to return from the injured list Friday, but he looks as though he'll require a little more time beyond the minimum 15 days to recover from a right ankle sprain before getting activated. As a result, Walker will receive a second straight turn in the rotation in Nola's stead. While making his first start since May 1 last Wednesday in Colorado, Walker scooped up a win while allowing three runs on six hits and two walks and striking out two over five innings. He'll head into Friday's outing with a 2.97 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 33:16 K:BB in 39.1 innings through his nine appearances (seven starts) on the season.

Lee went 2-for-4 in Monday's 3-1 loss to Detroit.

Lee extended his hitting streak to seven games with two singles Monday. During that span, the 26-year-old outfielder has recorded a .346/.414/.423 slash line with two runs scored, two RBI, two doubles and a 3:4 BB:K across 29 plate appearances. Lee has now tallied 14 multi-hit performances through 53 games this season, slashing .285/.330/.459 with 32 runs scored, 31 RBI, 22 extra-base hits -- including six homers -- three stolen bases and a 12.1 percent strikeout rate across 224 plate appearances.

Chapman went 1-for-3 with a run scored and a walk in Monday's 3-1 loss to Detroit.

Chapman singled to center field in the sixth inning before coming around to score San Francisco's lone run. The third baseman has recorded both a hit and a walk in four of his last five games, slashing .235/.381/.412 with three runs scored, a home run and a 9.5 percent strikeout rate during that span. The 32-year-old is now slashing .218/.341/.399 with 28 runs scored, 25 RBI, nine homers, seven doubles and five stolen bases across 223 plate appearances this season.
