Betts went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Friday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Betts' fifth-inning homer was ultimately all the Dodgers needed in the win, but he plated another run as part of a rally in the seventh. The 32-year-old could be sparking a better stretch at the plate -- he's 6-for-12 with three extra-base hits over his last three games, rebounding from an 0-for-20 skid prior to that. Overall, it's still been an underwhelming campaign for Betts, who is slashing .239/.309/.371 with 12 homers, 51 RBI, 68 runs scored and eight stolen bases through 106 contests.

Kershaw (6-2) allowed one run on seven hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

After ending July with a couple of poor starts, Kershaw has rebounded well to begin August. He's allowed one run on 12 hits and one walk over his last two starts, winning both of them after failing to collect a victory in July. The southpaw is now at a 3.14 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 46:19 K:BB through 71.2 innings over 14 starts this season. Kershaw is projected to make his next start at home versus the Padres.

Sanchez (11-3) earned the win Friday against the Rangers, allowing one run on six hits and one walks in six innings. He struck out six.

Sanchez may have one blip on the radar in the form of four-run outing July 28 against the White Sox, but he's been routinely dealing on the mound since the start of June. The left-hander has spun at least six innings while conceding one run or zero in nine of his 12 starts during that stretch, and he boasts a 1.69 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 81:13 K:BB over his last 85 innings. Sanchez will look to keep the good times going next week on the road against the Reds, who have a woeful .604 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the beginning of July.

Doyle went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Doyle is hitting .381 (8-for-21) with two extra-base hits and three RBI over six games in August. The outfielder came out of the All-Star break hot as well, though he was hampered by a shoulder issue for part of that time. He's working to overcome a rough first half of the campaign, which has him at a .226/.274/.343 slash line overall through 95 contests. Doyle has added 11 steals, eight home runs, 34 RBI and 40 runs scored while serving as Colorado's primary center fielder.

Karros went 1-for-3 with a walk and one RBI in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Karros didn't have to wait long to check off a couple of milestones, supplying his first RBI on his first hit, a second-inning single. He'll presumably have plenty of chances to hold down a large share of playing time at third base while Orlando Arcia (elbow) is out. Karros has displayed a quality hit tool in the minors this year, slashing a combined .301/.398/.476 over 75 games between Double-A, Triple-A and a rehab assignment in rookie ball. He's also shown strong plate discipline with a 12.7 percent walk rate and an 18.5 percent strikeout rate, but the power is lacking. Karros has hit just six total homers in the minors this year after supplying a modest 15 long balls in 123 games with High-A Spokane in 2024.

Senga (7-4) took the loss Friday against the Brewers, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Senga cruised through four scoreless innings to begin his outing but ran himself into a bases-loaded jam during the fifth, though reliever Brooks Raley was able to help limit the damage after Senga was lifted. The two punchouts were the fewest of the season for Senga, who has now also lent at least three free passes in each of his last four outings. The 32-year-old right-hander still has a strong 2.30 ERA for the campaign, but his 88:47 K:BB through 94 frames is somewhat of a concern. He'll try to sharpen his control at home against Atlanta in his next scheduled appearance.

Woodruff (4-0) earned the win Friday against the Mets, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in seven innings. He struck out eight.

Woodruff was excellent Friday, recording 16 whiffs en route to registering at least eight punchouts for the fourth time in six starts this year. The veteran right-hander was somewhat curiously pulled after throwing just 79 pitches, but it's worth noting that the Brewers have yet to let him reach the 90-pitch threshold after he missed the start of the season due to shoulder and ankle injuries. Woodruff will tote a sparkling 2.29 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 45:6 K:BB over 35.1 innings into his next appearance, which is set to be a favorable home matchup against the last-place Pirates.

Gomber (0-6) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over six innings to take the loss Friday versus the Diamondbacks.

Gomber got into trouble early, allowing a three-run double to Blaze Alexander in the first inning. Alexander added a solo shot in the fourth and Corbin Carroll tacked on a two-run homer in the fifth to account for the rest of the damage on Gomber's line. It continues to be a tough season for the southpaw, who has now lost five of his last six starts, though this was his longest outing of the year. He's at a 6.52 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB through 49.2 innings over 10 starts.

Carroll went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-1 win over the Rockies.

Carroll has popped three homers over seven games to begin August, going 6-for-24 (.250) in that span. The outfielder's uptick in power is a positive sign after he was limited to just one long ball -- along with six doubles and five triples -- over 20 games in July. He's up to 24 homers on the year, putting him one shy of matching his career high from 2023. He's added 58 RBI, 73 runs scored, 14 stolen bases and a .247/.322/.551 slash line across 99 contests.

Alexander went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, a hit-by-pitch and four RBI in Friday's 6-1 win over the Rockies.

Alexander opened the scoring with a three-run double in the first inning before adding a solo shot in the fourth. He's taken over as Arizona's starting third baseman since Eugenio Suarez was traded to Seattle. The increase in playing time has worked well -- Alexander is 8-for-25 (.320) with four extra-base hits over seven games in August. For the season, he's at a .240/.329/.400 slash line with two homers, 10 RBI, 10 runs scored and two stolen bases through 87 plate appearances.
