The Padres optioned Song to Triple-A El Paso on Monday.

The move corresponds with the Padres selecting Dustin Harris' contract from El Paso. Song has been with the big club since early May as a utility infielder and has a .202/.305/.263 slash line with 12 steals (in 16 attempts), one home run and 15 RBI over 134 plate appearances. He should operate as an everyday starter in Triple-A and could return to the majors should the Padres require infield depth.

Harris inked a minor-league contract with the Padres before the All-Star break after being granted his release from the White Sox in early July. He has a 1.039 OPS with 10 steals, six homers and 26 RBI over 135 plate appearances with El Paso this season, and the move bolsters a Padres outfield that is without Ramon Laureano (hip), Samad Taylor (oblique) and Miguel Andujar (wrist). In corresponding moves, Sung-Mun Song was optioned to Triple-A and Lucas Giolito (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list.

Soroka (shoulder) said Monday that he expects to return following a minimum 15-day stint on the injured list, Jody Jackson of DBacks.tv reports.

Soroka landed on the IL on Sunday due to inflammation in his right shoulder, and the hurler believes he's merely going through a "dead arm" phase. While the Diamondbacks have early optimism that the right-hander will be back on the active roster in two weeks, he will have to check several boxes of his rehab between now and then to make it a reality.

The Diamondbacks optioned Bratt to Triple-A Reno on Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Bratt lasted only three innings in each of his last two starts, and he has an uninspiring 28:25 K:BB over 39.2 innings covering nine starts in the majors. The Diamondbacks have not announced who will take the left-hander's spot in the rotation later this week.

Reds manager Terry Francona said Monday that Toglia will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.

Toglia dislocated his shoulder while making a diving catch during Friday's win over the Diamondbacks, and after further tests and consultations, surgery has been determined to be the best option for the 28-year-old. He wound up playing just 10 games at the big-league level this season, going 3-for-26 (.116 average) with two doubles, two walks and an RBI. Toglia is a likely non-tender candidate this offseason.

Stott (foot) is starting at third base and batting sixth against the Mariners on Monday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Stott was removed during the eighth inning of Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to a right foot contusion. X-rays following the contest came back negative, and the 28-year-old third baseman has been given the green light to play in Monday's series opener. Stott is in the midst of a mini-slump at the plate, having gone 0-for-12 with a walk and a run scored over his last four outings.

Bohm (hamstring) is starting at first base and batting fifth against Seattle on Monday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Bohm was held out of Sunday's game against the Cardinals due to hamstring/groin tightness, but he's been given the green light to play in Monday's series opener. Bohm has been on a heater at the plate recently with six multi-hit games over his last nine outings, going 18-for-38 (.474) with 12 RBI, seven extra-base hits and 10 runs scored in that span.

Arraez (hamstring) is starting at second base and batting in the cleanup spot against the Mariners on Monday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Arraez was not in the lineup for the Phillies' series finale against the Cardinals on Sunday due to hamstring cramps, though he did enter the game in the eighth inning. Through 20 games in August, he has a .291 batting average (23-for-79) with two home runs, five doubles, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored.

Lawlar is absent from the lineup for Monday's game versus the Cubs.

Lawlar has started all five games versus left-handers since he returned from the injured list one week ago, but he has been out of the lineup both times the Diamondbacks have gone up against a righty. It's unlikely Lawlar will remain stuck in a short-side platoon indefinitely, but for the time being his playing time could remain unreliable.

Marte (knee) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of the Diamondbacks' series opener against the Phillies on Aug. 31, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Marte is increasing his baseball activities this week while recovering from left knee inflammation, which forced him to the IL last Thursday. The injury isn't considered a long-term issue, and the expectation is that the veteran second baseman will be available for the final month of the regular season. Ildemaro Vargas has been serving as the Diamondbacks' primary option at the keystone in Marte's absence over the past week.
