Flores went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's 8-7 loss to the Rockies.

The 33-year-old lined a double into center field during the fifth inning before coming around to score the Giants' final run. He added a single in the ninth, marking his third multi-hit performance over his last six games. Flores has logged at least one hit in five of those six outings, batting .348 with five runs scored, four RBI and a home run across 27 plate appearances during that span.

Palencia worked a scoreless eighth inning to earn a hold in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Pirates, with Ryan Pressly working the ninth to secure the save.

For the first time since April 13, Pressly managed to earn a save as Palencia picked up his sixth hold of the season. Palencia had taken on closing duties in Chicago due to Pressly's poor start to the season, though the latter has now rattled off 14 straight appearances without allowing an earned run and has seemingly regained manager Craig Counsell's trust. Palencia could still see some ninth inning work moving forward, though his fantasy stock has taken a hit with Pressly back on the map.

Pressly tossed a scoreless inning of relief to earn the save in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

After getting pulled from the closer role earlier in the year due to poor play, Pressly managed to secure his first save since April 13, and he only needed six pitches to shut the door. The veteran has seemingly turned a corner, as he's now strung together 14 straight appearances without allowing an earned run, which has lowered his ERA from 7.62 to 3.81. It's also noteworthy that Daniel Palencia, who had stepped up as the Cubs' primary closer during Pressly's demotion, worked the eighth inning Thursday. It may be too early to say that Pressly is the unquestioned closer in Chicago, though he has certainly regained enough trust to get back into the ninth inning mix, and his fantasy stock is once again on the rise.

Misiorowski exited Thursday's start against the Cardinals due to cramping in his right calf and quad, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Misiorowski enjoyed an excellent big-league debut Thursday, holding the Cardinals scoreless and hitless across five innings. He left with an apparent ankle injury in the sixth, though the ultimate diagnosis appears to be more favorable. Misiorowski's status will still be worth monitoring prior to his next turn through the rotation.

Misiorowski exited with training staff after appearing to turn his ankle in the sixth inning of Thursday's game against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Misiorowski went five scoreless innings in his major-league debut and didn't allow a hit while striking out five and walking three. He came back out for the sixth frame but suffered the injury during the first at-bat. The nature of the issue is unclear, but more details should emerge following the game.

Devers (undisclosed) did not retire as previously reported and plans to continue his playing career, Lindsay Crosby of AthlonSports.com reports.

A previous report suggested that Devers had retired, but that report apparently came about due to an error in translation. He will continue to rehab an undisclosed injury that has kept him from playing for Triple-A Gwinnett since June 1. The 25-year-old infielder has maintained a .276/.279/.431 slash line across 61 plate appearances with Gwinnett this season.

Rodriguez (3-1) took a blown save and a loss Thursday against the Rockies, allowing three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He struck out one.

With Camilo Doval having pitched back-to-back days and Ryan Walker working the eighth inning Thursday, it was Rodriguez who was tasked with protecting a two-run lead in the ninth. It did not go well for the 25-year-old right-hander -- after Rodriguez recorded the first out, the next four Rockies all reached safely before Orlando Arcia knocked in the winning run with a two-out hit. Prior to Thursday, Rodriguez hadn't allowed a run in his last 16.2 innings, giving up just six hits while striking out 27 in that span. He still sports a pristine 0.90 ERA with a 0.73 WHIP and 44:5 K:BB across 30 innings while holding down a high-leverage role in San Francisco.

Moniak went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Thursday's 8-7 win over the Giants.

Moniak cut San Francisco's lead to 7-3 in the sixth inning with an opposite-field shot off Hayden Birdsong for his seventh homer this season. The 27-year-old Moniak has gone 4-for-7 with a pair of homers in his last three contests, boosting his slash line to .227/.278/.429 with 18 RBI, 21 runs scored and a pair of stolen bases across 176 plate appearances this year.

Smith went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and a second run scored in Thursday's 8-7 loss to Colorado.

After logging base hits in his first two at-bats, Smith launched a 433-foot shot off Antonio Senzatela in the fifth inning, his first major-league homer since July 29 of last year. The 29-year-old Smith has been productive in his first eight games with San Francisco, going 8-for-25 (.320) with seven RBI. Smith should continue to serve as the Giants' primary first baseman going forward.

The Mets plan to recall Max Kranick on Friday, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

The Mets are shuffling their pitching staff due to the injury to Kodai Senga (hamstring). Paul Blackburn is the likeliest candidate to take over in the rotation, while Kranick should be used out of the bullpen. He has had success in the majors this season, maintaining a 3.51 ERA and 0.96 WHIP to go along with a 23:3 K:BB across 33.1 frames.
