Veen (ankle) resumed playing in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Friday and has gone 2-for-7 with four walks, two runs and one RBI in three games since rejoining the lineup.

Veen hasn't played for Triple-A Albuquerque since May 22 after suffering a sore ankle, but rather than going on the 7-day injured list, he was instead assigned to the ACL for his rehab program. Now that he's been playing in games again, Veen could soon make his way back to Albuquerque. After being optioned to Triple-A following a two-week stint in the big leagues in April, Veen slashed a meager .224/.277/.342 with one home run and one steal in 19 games before going down with the ankle injury.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that Sheehan (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Padres, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

As expected, Sheehan has received clearance to make his 2025 debut for the Dodgers this week after completely his recovery from May 2024 Tommy John surgery. The right-hander was cleared to kick off his rehab assignment just over a year after the procedure and was sharp over his four outings in the minors, logging a 3.97 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 21:1 K:BB in 11.1 innings. In his most recent start for Triple-A Oklahoma City last Thursday, Sheehan tossed 3.1 innings and 63 pitches, so he'll likely be operating with a workload restriction Wednesday. While Sheehan should be in line for multiple turns through the Dodgers' rotation, he'll be at risk of a move to the bullpen or a demotion to Triple-A once the likes of Tyler Glasnow (shoulder), Blake Snell (shoulder), Tony Gonsolin (elbow) and Roki Sasaki (shoulder) return from the IL.

House went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in Monday's loss to the Rockies.

It was an inauspicious debut for the 22-year-old, who had hit safely in 15 straight games for Triple-A Rochester prior to his promotion while slashing .375/.420/.625. House will be given every opportunity to establish himself as the Nationals' starter at third base over the rest of the season, but the 2021 first-round pick may need some time to adjust to pitching at the highest level.

Abrams went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases in Monday's loss to the Rockies.

He generated the Nationals' first run of the game nearly single-handedly in the fourth inning, drawing a one-out walk, stealing second and third base and then coming home on an Amed Rosario sacrifice fly. Abrams has been dropped down to third in the batting order rather than his usual leadoff spot as manager Dave Martinez tries to shake up a struggling squad that has lost nine straight games, but the shortstop hasn't been the problem. Over the last seven contests, Abrams is batting .357 (10-for-28) with three doubles, a homer, two RBI and seven runs.

Feltner (back) struck out two over 1.2 scoreless innings in a rehab start with the rookie-level Arizona Complex League Rockies on Monday.

It was Feltner's first outing in seven weeks, as he has been shelved since late April with back spasms. The right-hander will be eligible for activation from the 60-day injured list June 28, but he might need more time than that to rebuild his stamina.

The Brewers activated Cameron (personal) from the paternity list Monday.

Cameron was away for the final three games of the weekend series against the Cardinals but will be back for the start of the Brewers' series in Chicago versus the Cubs that begins Tuesday. The Brewers are scheduled to face all righties this week, so the right-handed-hitting Cameron might not see much playing time.

Machado went 1-for-3 with a home run and two total RBI in a loss to the Dodgers on Monday.

Machado accounted for the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly off Shohei Ohtani in the first inning. The veteran third baseman tacked on a 353-foot solo shot in the sixth, but his individual contributions weren't enough to provide San Diego with a win. Machado is in the midst of a strong June, as he's posted a .996 OPS with five home runs, 20 RBI, nine runs and a stolen base through 15 games this month.

Cease (2-6) took the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out nine batters over five innings.

Cease began his outing on fire, striking out the first five batters he faced. However, the right-hander gave up a run in the third on a pair of Dodgers doubles. San Diego reclaimed a one-run lead in the top of the fourth, but Cease couldn't hold it long -- he gave up six knocks (five of which were singles) and hit a batter in the fourth frame as Los Angeles emerged with five runs. There was lots to like about Cease's outing -- he notched nine punchouts and 15 whiffs -- but the veteran pitcher continues to be an enigma. He has an excellent 47:12 K:BB over 33.2 innings across his past six starts, but he's also gone 1-4 during that stretch while posting a mediocre 4.81 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.

Yates picked up a save against the Padres on Monday by tossing a perfect ninth inning.

Manager Dave Roberts went to usual closer Tanner Scott to face the heart of San Diego's order in the eighth inning, then turned to Yates to close things out in the ninth. The right-handed Yates had little trouble doing so, throwing nine of 10 pitches for strikes and retiring Jake Cronenworth, Jose Iglesias and Tyler Wade in order. Roberts has shown a willingness to turn to Scott before the ninth frame when situations call for it, but that doesn't necessarily mean Yates will dominate save chances in those circumstances. In fact, the veteran reliever is one of four hurlers with multiple saves on the campaign for Los Angeles, and Alex Vesia tops him with three saves.

Casparius (5-1) was credited with a victory against San Diego on Monday, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two batters over 3.2 innings.

Shohei Ohtani made his much-anticipated Dodgers debut as a pitcher Monday, pushing Casparius to bulk relief after manager Dave Roberts mentioned last week that the 26-year-old would be moving into the rotation. Ohtani went just one inning, however, and Casparius got the call with two outs in the second frame following a brief outing by Anthony Banda. Casparius surrendered an RBI double to Xander Bogaerts in the fourth inning and a solo homer to Manny Machado in the sixth, but he pitched well enough to notch the victory. It's not yet clear how Roberts will manage Casparius' outings moving forward -- there's still a chance the right-hander will get an opportunity to function as a traditional starter soon, but he'll likely work in bulk relief until Ohtani has enough starts under his belt to serve as more than an opener.
