  • Cardinals' Michael McGreevy: Set to start Monday

McGreevy will be recalled from Triple-A Memphis to start Monday against the Rockies, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

It was reported in early July that the Cardinals were considering promoting the right-hander to replace Erick Fedde in the starting rotation, but McGreevy will instead fill the rotation spot of Matthew Liberatore, who is having his start skipped for workload considerations. McGreevy has a 4.22 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB over 21.1 frames in the majors this season. He's likely to receive an extended look in the rotation at some point down the stretch, but it remains to be seen if Monday's outing will be a spot start or the beginning of a longer audition.

  • Cardinals' Matthew Liberatore: Start being skipped

The Cardinals are giving Liberatore extra rest coming out of the All-Star break in order to manage his workload, and he's tentatively expected to make his next start Saturday against the Padres, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The left-hander lined up to take the mound Monday in Colorado, but St. Louis will instead call up prospect Michael McGreevy to pitch. Liberatore is healthy but has already thrown 100.1 innings this season, which is a significant bump in his workload after operating as a swingman in each of the previous two seasons. He's been a quality rotation piece for the Cardinals in 2025 with a 4.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 80:22 K:BB through 18 starts.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Not in Sunday's lineup

Turang is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Turang started the previous 11 games but will receive Sunday off after batting .190 (8-for-42) with just one extra-base hit during that stretch. Andruw Monasterio will take over at the keystone for the series finale in Los Angeles.

  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Day off Sunday

Yelich is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

The veteran slugger has struggled a bit coming out of the All-Star break, going 2-for-9 with four strikeouts and a caught stealing in the first two games of the series in Los Angeles. William Contreras is serving as the designated hitter while Yelich sits, allowing Eric Haase to make a start behind the plate.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Activated Sunday, not in lineup

The Diamondbacks reinstated Marte (personal) from the restricted list Sunday, though he's not in the lineup against the Cardinals.

The veteran second baseman has been on the restricted list and away from the team for the past couple days, but he's back for the series finale versus St. Louis. Marte will presumably be available off the bench and should be back in the starting nine Monday against the Astros.

  • Dodgers' Michael Conforto: Beginning on bench Sunday

Conforto is out of the starting lineup against Milwaukee on Sunday.

With the Brewers sending southpaw Jose Quintana to the mound, Conforto will get a breather. Esteury Ruiz is making a start in left field in his stead.

  • Will Smith C | LAD

Dodgers' Will Smith: Getting rest Sunday

Smith isn't starting against the Brewers on Sunday.

Smith started the Dodgers' first two games coming out of the All-Star break, going 3-for-8, but he'll get a breather for Sunday's afternoon affair. Dalton Rushing is starting behind the plate and batting ninth in the series finale against Milwaukee.

  • Tyler Freeman RF | COL

Rockies' Tyler Freeman: Out due to illness

Freeman isn't starting Sunday against the Twins because of an illness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Freeman has settled into an everyday role between right field and DH, but he'll begin on the bench Sunday. It's not clear if the speedy veteran will be available off the bench. With Freeman out of the lineup, Hunter Goodman is getting a day off his feet at DH, while Yanquiel Fernandez is starting in right field.

  • Brenton Doyle CF | COL

Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Not starting Sunday

Doyle is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota.

Doyle will begin on the bench Sunday after going 2-for-4 with a run and a stolen base in Saturday's victory. Mickey Moniak is getting a start in center field in Doyle's stead.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Still out Sunday

Marte (personal) isn't in the starting lineup Sunday against St. Louis.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that "all indications" were that Marte would be back with the team Sunday, per SI.com, but the star second baseman isn't on the lineup card for a third straight contest coming out of the All-Star break. It's not clear if Marte will be available off the bench, but he'd first need to be removed from the restricted list. Blaze Alexander is picking up another start at the keystone in Marte's stead.
