Angel Chivilli RP | NYY
Rockies' Angel Chivilli: Moves up to majors
The Rockies recalled Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Chivilli will take the spot of Ryan Rolison, who was demoted to Triple-A after giving up two runs (one earned) over 1.2 innings Saturday. Over 25 appearances out of the Colorado bullpen this season, Chivilli has struggled to a 5.91 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB in 35 innings.

Ryan Rolison RP | CHC
Rockies' Ryan Rolison: Demoted after rough appearance
The Rockies optioned Rolison to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
After yielding two runs (one earned) over 1.2 innings in a 33-pitch relief appearance Saturday, Rolison was unlikely to be available for the next day or two. As a result, the Rockies opted to swap him off the 26-man roster in favor of a fresh bullpen arm in Angel Chivilli.

Jaden Hill RP | COL
Rockies' Jaden Hill: Summoned from Triple-A
The Rockies recalled Hill from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Hill will be up with Colorado for the second time this season after he previously made three relief appearances in April. The right-hander has maintained excellent ratios (3.72 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB) in 17.2 innings at Triple-A this season, but he'll likely operate as a low-leverage reliever for the Rockies initially.

Zach Agnos RP | COL
Rockies' Zach Agnos: Shut down with elbow injury
The Rockies placed Agnos on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a right elbow flexor strain.
During a relief appearance Saturday, Agnos retired just one of the five batters he faced and was charged with four earned runs before being pulled from the game due to an unspecified arm injury. After further evaluation, the Rockies determined that the right-hander was dealing with an elbow strain, an injury that will most likely keep him on the shelf beyond the minimum 15 days. Colorado recalled Jaden Hill from Triple-A Albuquerque to take over Agnos' spot in the bullpen.

Orlando Arcia SS | MIN
Rockies' Orlando Arcia: Drawing third straight start
Arcia will start at third base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Arcia will cover the hot corner for the third game in a row and looks like he'll get the first chance to serve as the Rockies' primary option at the position after Colorado shipped Ryan McMahon to the Yankees earlier this weekend. Since signing with Colorado in late May, Arcia hasn't done much to prove that he's deserving of regular playing time. Through 35 games, the veteran infielder is slashing just .160/.200/.250 with two home runs, no stolen bases, five RBI and six runs.

Michael Toglia 1B | COL
Rockies' Michael Toglia: Losing out on regular starts
Toglia is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Toglia appears to have lost his regular role at first base to Warming Bernabel, as he'll be on the bench Sunday for the third time in four games. Since getting called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on June 16, Toglia has hit .193 with four home runs and one steal in 30 games while continuing to strike out at a high rate (37.3 percent).

Bobby Miller SP | LAD
Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Shifting to relief role
Miller is transitioning to a relief role with Triple-A Oklahoma City, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
It seems like forever ago that Miller was among the most promising young starters in the game, but after an impressive 2023 rookie campaign with the Dodgers he lost his major-league role in 2024 and has given up seven earned runs over just five frames across two appearances with the big club this season. Miller also hasn't been very good with OKC this year, posting a 5.58 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 57:49 K:BB over 69.1 innings spanning 16 outings (14 starts). Converting Miller to a relief role could provide Los Angeles with a high-leverage option late in the campaign if he does well.

Hunter Goodman C | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Getting breather Sunday
Goodman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Goodman will get a routine breather for the day game after he went 0-for-3 while catching seven innings of Saturday night's 18-0 loss. Austin Nola will replace Goodman behind the dish.
-
Brenton Doyle CF | COL
Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Sitting out fourth straight game
Doyle is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Despite going 7-for-13 at the dish to open the second half, Doyle finds himself on the bench for the fourth consecutive game. The Rockies haven't provided an explanation behind Doyle's ongoing absence from the lineup, and no reports have suggested that the two-time Gold Glove winner is dealing with any sort of injury. Yanquiel Fernandez has been the main beneficiary of Doyle exiting the lineup, as he'll crack the starting nine for the second time in three days.

Mookie Betts SS | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Rejoins lineup Sunday
Betts (personal) is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Sunday against the Red Sox.
The 32-year-old didn't start the first two games versus Boston due to a personal matter, but he made an appearance as a pinch hitter in Saturday's contest. Betts has gone 3-for-30 over his past eight games, dropping his slash line for the season to .237/.308/.369, all of which would be career worsts.
