Crews (oblique) will report to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
The 23-year-old has been on the shelf more than two months due to an oblique strain, but he's entering the final stage of his rehab program. Given how long he's been sidelined, Crews will likely require at least a handful of games in the minors before being cleared to rejoin the Nationals.

Maldonado and Elias Diaz have alternated starts behind the plate over the last six games. Neither backstop has been able to get much going offensively this season, with Maldonado producing a .560 OPS in 157 plate appearances and Diaz generating a .576 OPS over 218 plate appearances.

The Nationals recalled Tena from Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
The 24-year-old is filling the roster spot vacated by Amed Rosario, who was traded to the Yankees on Saturday. Tena has a .690 OPS over 154 plate appearances in the big leagues this season and should serve as a utility infielder while up in the majors.

House is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.
House will hit the bench for the first time in a week and for just the second time in the Nationals' last 12 games. Paul DeJong will fill in at third base in place of House, who has generated a .288/.294/.424 slash line with two home runs, one stolen base, eight RBI and 10 runs in 17 games dating back to the start of July.

Perkins will hit the bench for the second day in a row after he had started in five of Milwaukee's six contests before that. With Sal Frelick returning from the injured list Saturday, Perkins looks set to fill more of a fourth-outfielder role moving forward for the Brewers.

Frelick was reinstated from the injured list Saturday after missing a couple weeks due to a hamstring strain, and he went 1-for-4 with a strikeout in his return to the lineup. Christian Yelich will receive a start in the outfield Sunday, opening up the DH spot for William Contreras.
