  • Diamondbacks' Connor Kaiser: Starts at 2B

Kaiser started at second base and went 0-for-3 in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies.

Kaiser, who gave Ketel Marte a day off at second base, played in the majors for the first time since 2023. With Blaze Alexander serving as the primary third baseman following Arizona's trade of Eugenio Suarez, Kaiser can fill the utility infielder role that once belonged to Alexander.

  • Erick Fedde SP | CHW

Braves' Erick Fedde: Coughs up four runs

Fedde did not factor in the decision during Sunday's win over the Guardians. He allowed four runs on six hits and three walks over four innings while striking out five.

Fedde worked a perfect first inning before things started to go south. He loaded the bases in the second but escaped without giving up a run. The Guardians then plated a pair of runs in each of the third and fourth frames. Fedde has now made four starts with Atlanta and has given up at least three runs while failing to complete six innings in all four. That's resulted in a 7.11 ERA, driving his season ERA to 5.52 across 120.2 innings. Fedde is currently projected for a home matchup against the Mets next weekend.

  • Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Secures 19th save

Iglesias allowed a hit during a scoreless inning and earned a save over Cleveland on Sunday. He struck out two.

Iglesias tossed 12 of 17 pitches for strikes and made quick work of the Guardians in the ninth inning. He retired three straight batters after Bo Naylor knocked a leadoff single. Iglesias has converted eight straight saves during his active 11-inning scoreless streak. For the year, he owns a 4.01 ERA with a 57:10 K:BB through 51.2 frames. Iglesias has converted 19 saves in 24 chances.

  • Juan Soto LF | NYM

Mets' Juan Soto: Records 20th steal

Soto went 0-for-2 with three walks and a stolen base in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Mariners in the Little League Classic.

Soto's nine-game hitting streak came to a close, but he was still able to find his way on base. Since the start of August, he's gone 15-for-55 (.273) with five home runs, nine RBI, 12 walks and five stolen bases over 15 games. He's reached the 20-steal mark for the first time in his career while adding 30 home runs, 71 RBI, 87 runs scored, 16 doubles and a .251/.385/.495 slash line over 122 contests.

  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Tallies three hits in win

Lindor went 3-for-5 with an RBI double in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Mariners in the Little League Classic.

Lindor was productive with the bat, but he had a poor showing on the basepaths. His two singles resulted in him getting picked off and caught stealing before he was finally able to get to second base with his fifth-inning double that generated the Mets' last run of the game. Lindor has hit safely in six straight games, and his last five efforts have all included multiple hits, which is a strong bounce-back after his five-game hitless stretch earlier in August. For the season, he's at a .259/.327/.455 slash line, 24 home runs, 20 stolen bases, 71 RBI and 82 runs scored over 122 contests.

  • Mark Vientos 1B | NYM

Mets' Mark Vientos: Clubs homer Sunday

Vientos went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 7-3 win over the Mariners in the Little League Classic.

Vientos supplied a sacrifice fly in the second inning and then took one out in the fifth. It was Vientos' first homer since July 28. The third baseman has started two of the last three games for the Mets after sitting out four straight contests amid a slump. He's struggled this year, slashing .232/.276/.372 with eight homers, 36 RBI, 26 runs scored, 14 doubles and two triples over 84 contests. Vientos will likely continue to compete with Ronny Mauricio and Brett Baty for time at the hot corner.

  • Braves' Jurickson Profar: Goes deep in win

Profar went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's win over Cleveland.

Profar's two-run shot in the sixth inning proved to be the game-winning blast. He snapped an eight-game homerless drought and is up to seven through 44 games this season. Profar has three multi-hit performances over his last seven games, going 9-for-29 (.310) during that span. He's slashing .246/.350/.429 with 17 extra-base hits and 21 RBI through 203 plate appearances.

  • Clay Holmes RP | NYM

Mets' Clay Holmes: Grabs win at Little League Classic

Holmes (10-6) allowed one run on five hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings to earn the win over the Mariners in Sunday's Little League Classic.

Holmes put forth a fine effort, throwing 58 of 88 pitches for strikes. He's had some trouble pitching deeper into games -- he hasn't completed six frames since his June 7 start in Colorado. The right-hander is 2-2 with 18 runs allowed (15 earned) over 27.2 innings over six starts since the All-Star break. Holmes has a 3.64 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 105:53 K:BB over 131 innings through 25 starts this season. He's tentatively scheduled for a road matchup in Atlanta in his next start.

  • Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Exits early Sunday

Alvarez was removed from Sunday's contest against the Mariners in the eighth inning due to a right hand injury, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

Alvarez appeared to jam his hand on a head-first slide into second base in the bottom of the seventh inning, which ultimately required him to leave the game in the following frame. The catcher finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored. More information on his status will likely be provided following the contest.

  • Graham Pauley 3B | MIA

Marlins' Graham Pauley: Dealing with side issue

Pauley wasn't available for Sunday's 5-3 win over the Red Sox due to right side tightness, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Even if he was fully healthy, the left-handed-hitting Pauley likely would have sat out Sunday anyway while lefty Garrett Crochet took the hill for the Red Sox, but the injury now threatens the third baseman's availability for the Marlins' upcoming series with the Cardinals that begins Monday. If Pauley's side issue is deemed serious enough to send him to the injured list, Infielder Maximo Acosta could be called up from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move.
