Waldrep came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 11-2 win over the Marlins, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk over 5.1 innings. He failed to strike out a batter.

The rookie right-hander didn't have his best stuff, managing only three swinging strikes among his 88 pitches (52 total strikes), but Waldrep battled through after giving up an RBI single to Jakob Marsee just two batters into the game. He left the mound in line for a win, but Dylan Lee gave up the tying run in the seventh inning, setting the stage for a nine-run ninth by the Atlanta offense. Through five appearances (four starts) this season, Waldrep sports a dazzling 0.90 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB through 30 innings with a 4-0 record. He faces a tough test in his next outing, which is set to come early next week on the road against the Cubs.

Wicks tossed a scoreless eighth inning in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Giants.

Wicks was making his first MLB appearance since July 11 when he allowed six runs on 10 hits over three innings. The lefty was briefly called up from Triple-A Iowa on Aug. 19 to serve as the 27th man for a doubleheader, but he didn't see any game action. Wicks has struggled in the majors the last two seasons, and he'll likely see low-leverage work for however long he sticks with the Cubs this time around.

Rogers, who tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Tuesday's loss to the Giants, has allowed just one run and struck out 11 batters across 7.1 innings since joining the Cubs at the trade deadline.

Rogers allowed a solo home run back on Aug. 18, but outside of that, he's been flawless with his new team. The veteran lefty has quickly earned trust as a high-leverage setup option in front of closer Daniel Palencia. For the season, Rogers has a 2.23 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 10.0 K/9. With a career 10.5 K/9, he should be expected to keep racking up strikeouts at a high rate the rest of the year.

Steer went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Steer was moved to the leadoff spot, as manager Terry Francona trotted out an all right-handed-hitting lineup against Los Angeles lefty Clayton Kershaw, which meant usual leadoff batter TJ Friedl got the night off. Steer typically bats in the middle of the order, usually fifth or sixth.

Marte started in center field and went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Marte, who transitioned from third base to right field midseason, made his first career start in the center field. Unfortunately for the Reds, it showed in the sixth inning when Marte misjudged a flyball that sailed over his head for a two-run double. He was later moved to right field, which has been his home on the diamond for the last month.

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 loss to the Brewers.

Perdomo continued his breakout season with a run-scoring single in the seventh inning and then a game-tying double an inning later. He's knocked in 86 runs this season, smashing his previous career best of 47 in 2023. Perdomo ranks third among baseball's shortstops with a 5.5 fWAR.

Drake was placed on the 7-day injured list Tuesday with a shoulder strain, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Drake made four appearances for Triple-A Reno after being acquired from the Rangers in the Merrill Kelly swap. The Diamondbacks had put him on the development list after those four outings for workload reasons, but a sprain was discovered in his shoulder that will end his 2025 season prematurely. The injury is not expected to affect the left-hander's offseason preparation. In four games for the Aces, Drake had a 9.18 ERA with 19 strikeouts and eight walks over 16.2 innings.

Misiorowski didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out 10.

It was an encouraging showing overall for Misiorowski, who had not reached five innings in any of his previous four starts. The rookie phenom generated a whopping 19 whiffs en route to recording double-digit strikeouts for the second time this year, and he threw a season-high 93 pitches as well. Misiorowski holds a 4.33 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 65:21 K:BB over 43.2 frames, and he's in line for a tough test on the road against the first-place Blue Jays over the weekend.

Pfaadt took a no-decision Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk in 2.2 innings. He struck out four.

It was Pfaadt's shortest start since he failed to record an out during his calamitous May 31 outing against the Nationals. The 26-year-old right-hander is now up to seven appearances with at least eight hits allowed among his 27 starts, and he's also yielded at least six runs on five occasions this season. Pfaadt is set to bring a rough 5.24 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 117:33 K:BB over 142.2 frames into a scary matchup on the road against the Dodgers this weekend, which makes him tough to trust from a fantasy standpoint.

Suarez picked up the save Tuesday against the Mariners. He allowed no hits or walks with no strikeouts over a perfect inning.

Suarez gave up some hard contact but retired the side to lock down a Padres win Tuesday. The flamethrowing right-hander has endured shaky moments when his command wavers, yet he's still converted 35 of 40 save chances -- tied for the most saves in the majors with Carlos Estevez.
