Nathan Wiles P | ATL
Braves' Nathan Wiles: Back in minors
Atlanta optioned Wiles to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.
Wiles didn't appear in Friday's game after being recalled from Triple-A earlier in the day, and he'll now return to Gwinnett to make room for Chris Sale's (ribs) return from the injured list. Wiles surrendered three earned runs during his MLB debut in April but has turned in a 3.24 ERA and 1.26 WHIP through 105.2 innings in the minors.

Carson Benge RF | NYM
Mets' Carson Benge: Returns from IL
Tenge (undisclosed) has gone 2-for-8 with a home run, two RBI and an additional run in two games for Triple-A Syracuse since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Wednesday.
Tenge missed just under two weeks of action while tending to an unspecified injury. Since getting bumped up from Double-A Binghamton to Syracuse earlier this month, the 22-year-old outfield prospect is slashing .250/.348/.400 through six games, with Friday's homer being his first at the Triple-A level.

Chris Sale SP | ATL
Braves' Chris Sale: Activated for start
Atlanta reinstated Sale (ribs) from the 60-day injured list ahead of his start Saturday against the Phillies.
Sale made three rehab starts after landing on the injured list in late June with a fractured ribcage, posting a 2.53 ERA and 1.22 WHIP alongside an 11:3 K:BB through 10.2 innings at Triple-A Gwinnett. Now fully healthy, he'll be welcomed back to MLB action by the Phillies, against whom he tossed six shutout innings when he last faced them in late May. The veteran lefty reached just 77 pitches in his final rehab outing, however, so there's a chance Atlanta will limit his workload during his first start back from the IL. Nathan Wiles was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Ryan Fernandez RP | STL
Cardinals' Ryan Fernandez: Collects first save of season
Fernandez walked one and struck out two in a scoreless 10th inning Friday to record his first save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Reds.
JoJo Romero struggled to find the plate in the eighth inning, throwing only four of 12 pitches for strikes, and Riley O'Brien wasn't used at all after having thrown 13 pitches the night before, so the Cardinals' closer picture got a little murkier after Fernandez got the job done in the 10th. Fernandez has an 11.9 K/9 through 11.1 innings since being called up at the beginning of August, but that comes with a 4.76 ERA and 5.6 BB/9. Romero and O'Brien remain the top options for saves in St. Louis, but Fernandez may be working his way into higher-leverage usage.

Matthew Liberatore SP | STL
Cardinals' Matthew Liberatore: Stung by long ball again Friday
Liberatore came away with a no-decision in Friday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Reds, giving up three runs on eight hits and two walks over five-plus innings. He struck out four.
The southpaw served up two home runs, including a solo shot by Spencer Steer in the top of the sixth inning that helped chase Liberatore from the game. He's been taken deep at least once in five straight starts, and since the beginning of July he's stumbled to a 2.1 HR/9, helping to fuel a 5.77 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 26:17 K:BB in 39 innings over that stretch. Liberatore will try to keep the ball in the yard in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the A's.

Seiya Suzuki RF | CHC
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Reaches three times in win
Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Friday's 11-7 win over the Rockies.
Suzuki was in the middle of a strong Chicago offensive attack that featured six players with multiple hits. The outfielder has been struggling a bit recently, as this was his first multi-hit effort since Aug. 16, and he's slashing just .222/.369/.296 this month. However, Suzuki remains a potent power threat with a career-high 27 home runs and 87 RBI across 129 games.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Doubles, scores twice in win
Hoerner went 2-for-4 with a walk, two doubles and two runs scored in Friday's 11-7 win over the Rockies.
Hoerner benefitted from the friendly confines of Coors Field and continued his strong recent play. Over his last 15 games, the infielder is batting .302 with a home run, two stolen bases, six RBI and six runs scored. Hoerner remains a strong contact hitter with a .292 batting average overall, and his greatest fantasy asset is his speed, as he has 23 stolen bases in 27 attempts.

Brenton Doyle CF | COL
Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Pair of doubles
Doyle went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two walks, an RBI and a run scored Friday against the Cubs.
Doyle was a primary source of Colorado's offense, drawing a leadoff walk before coming around to score in the fourth inning and then delivering an RBI double three frames later. He's surged since the All-Star break, maintaining a .367 average with seven home runs, 21 RBI and 18 runs scored across 32 games. Doyle has particularly taken advantage of Coors Field, as he has multiple hits in six of his last nine starts at home.

Ian Happ LF | CHC
Cubs' Ian Happ: Goes deep in three-hit game
Happ went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a solo home run, two RBI and two total runs scored in Friday's 11-7 win over the Rockies.
Happ was one of several Chicago players to get a boost from the thin Coors Field air. The veteran outfielder tied a season high with eight total bases, and he recorded his first multi-hit performance in 10 days. On the season, Happ is now slashing .231/.331/.393 with 17 home runs, 59 RBI, 71 runs scored and five stolen bases across 123 games.

Yanquiel Fernandez RF | NYY
Rockies' Yanquiel Fernandez: Two straight starts
Fernandez went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored Friday against the Cubs.
Fernandez got a rare opportunity to start in consecutive games, both at designated hitter. He's homered in consecutive contests, potentially making a push for more consistent playing time. Since being recalled July 2, Fernandez has started at least two games in a row only six times.
