Mike Yastrzemski RF | ATL
Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Exiting lineup versus lefty
Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Ronald Acuna (hamstring) landed on the injured list Sunday, but his absence may not change Yastrzemski's role as a strong-side platoon option. Yastrzemski will be on the bench for the fourth time in the last five games Sunday, with Atlanta facing lefty starters in each of those contests.

Vidal Brujan 2B | NYM
Mets' Vidal Brujan: Summoned from Triple-A
The Mets selected Brujan's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.
The addition of Brujan gives the Mets another option at shortstop beyond Bo Bichette after Ronny Mauricio (thumb) joined Francisco Lindor (calf) on the 10-day injured list Sunday. Though Bichette has played almost exclusively at third base this season, he has plenty of experience at shortstop and will start at the position Sunday in Anaheim. If the Mets are comfortable enough with Bichette's defense at shortstop, Brujan will fill a utility role while he's up in the majors and won't be in store for regular reps.

Ronny Mauricio 2B | NYM
Mets' Ronny Mauricio: Shifts to IL
The Mets placed Mauricio (thumb) on the 10-day injured list Sunday.
According to Laura Albanese of Newsday, manager Carlos Mendoza said that Mauricio is headed for a CT scan and is facing an initial recovery timeline of 6-to-8 weeks. The Mets called up Vidal Brujan to provide another option at shortstop while Mauricio and Francisco Lindor (calf) are on the shelf, but Bo Bichette will start at the position Sunday in Anaheim and will likely see the bulk of the playing time at that spot.

Fernando Tatis Jr. RF | SD
Padres' Fernando Tatis: Receiving rare day off
Tatis is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
Tatis will take a seat for just the second time all season, ending a streak of 14 consecutive starts. The three-time All-Star has made three of his last five starts at second base and has now occupied the keystone on six occasions this season, bringing him closer to gaining eligibility at that position in certain fantasy leagues.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Making return to lineup
Hoerner (neck) will start at second base and bat leadoff in Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Hoerner was removed from Friday's game after experiencing tightness on the left side of his neck and then remained on the bench Saturday as well, but he feels well enough to give it a go in the series finale. The 28-year-old opened the season as the Cubs' No. 5 hitter but has climbed into the leadoff spot after producing a .374 OBP through his first 32 games.

Adrian Del Castillo C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Adrian Del Castillo: Looks set to lose playing time
Del Castillo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
The 26-year-old finds himself on the bench for the second straight day while the Diamondbacks face another lefty starter in Matthew Boyd, and Del Castillo could soon find his path to playing time against righties narrower as well. Gabriel Moreno returned from the injured list Friday to serve as the Diamondbacks' primary catcher, and Jose Fernandez (.793 OPS in 93 plate appearances this season) has performed well enough to hold off Del Castillo (.601 OPS in 65 plate appearances) for regular reps at DH.
-
Diamondbacks' Alek Thomas: Absent against lefty again
Thomas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.
The left-handed hitter will be left out of the lineup for the second straight day while the Diamondbacks face off against another lefty starter in Matthew Boyd. Jorge Barrosa will fill in for Thomas in center field.
-
Victor Scott II OF | STL
Cardinals' Victor Scott: Idle for series finale
Scott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
The left-handed-hitting Scott has fared far better against lefties (.299 wOBA) than righties (.175 wOBA) this season, but he'll hit the bench for the series finale while the Dodgers send southpaw Justin Wrobleski to the hill. Nathan Church will slide over from his usual spot in left field to cover center field in Scott's absence.
-
Nolan Gorman 2B | STL
Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Receiving Sunday off
Gorman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
With southpaw Justin Wrobleski on the bump for the Dodgers, the left-handed hitter will move to the bench. Ramon Urias will cover third base in place of Gorman, who went 1-for-8 with a two-run home run over the first two contests in the series.

Drew Gilbert CF | SF
Giants' Drew Gilbert: Idle for series finale
Gilbert is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
The Giants will hold the left-handed hitter out of the starting nine for the second time in the series while the Rays send another southpaw to the bump in Steven Matz. Jerar Encarnacion will replace Gilbert in the San Francisco outfield, covering right field and batting eighth.
