Kayfus went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 3-2 win over Kansas City.

Kayfus flipped the script in the bottom of the eighth inning when he launched a two-run, go-ahead homer 425 feet to center field. Up to the point, the Guardians offense put up little fight (three hits, one run) against Royals pitching. The home run was the first in 17 contests and third of the season for Kayfus, who's been on a bumpy road since late August. He entered the night batting .128 (5-for-39) with a .453 OPS over his previous 14 games.

Kolek didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Guardians, allowing one run on three hits and no walks in 6.2 innings. He struck out four.

Kolek's Royals career is off to a promising start, as he's now fired at least six innings while conceding two runs or fewer in each of his first three starts for his new team. The three hits allowed matched a season low, and he's riding a streak of seven consecutive outings of at least five frames dating back to his time with San Diego. Kolek is next scheduled to take the mound for a key matchup against the Mariners. Through 99.1 innings, the right-hander owns a 3.71 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 67:28 K:BB.

Williams didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Royals, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out six.

The right-hander delivered his third consecutive quality start, and he's now tossed at least six frames while yielding two runs or fewer in seven of his 10 appearances since the All-Star break. However, homers and walks do remain an issue for Williams, who got taken deep in his fourth straight start, and he issued at least three free passes for the third time during that span. Williams will take a 3.16 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 152:79 K:BB across 156.2 innings into his next start, which is set to be a tough matchup against the AL Central-leading Tigers.

Teodosio went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Thursday's 7-6, extra-innings loss to the Mariners.

Teodosio has gone 7-for-21 (.333) during his six-game hitting streak, with four of those knocks going for extra bases. He's settled into a starting role in center field down the stretch, and his recent hitting suggests he'll be able to hold onto the job. The outfielder is at a .216/.255/.324 slash line with four RBI, 10 runs scored, six steals, seven doubles and two triples over 111 plate appearances, and he remains in search of his first big-league homer.

Davidson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-6, extra-innings loss to the Mariners.

This was Davidson's first multi-hit effort as an Angel. He's gone 3-for-11 with three strikeouts over six games since he was claimed off waivers from the Astros. Davidson is filling a part-time role to help cover the absence of Nolan Schanuel (wrist) at first base -- Oswald Peraza has also gotten time at the position. The switch-hitting Davidson has one homer, three RBI, three runs scored and no stolen bases over 15 big-league games between the Angels and Athletics this season.

Trout went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Thursday's 7-6, extra-innings loss to the Mariners.

Trout tied the game at 4-4 -- ultimately forcing extras -- with his solo shot, which was his first homer since Aug. 6 versus the Rays. He's shown life at the plate lately with a six-game hitting streak, going 8-for-23 (.348) in that span. The 34-year-old batted just .207 with a .659 OPS from Aug. 3 to Sept. 5. He's up to 21 homers, 58 RBI, 66 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .235/.368/.426 slash line over 116 games this season.

Soriano allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out four over four innings in a no-decision Thursday versus the Mariners.

Soriano gave up all four runs in the second inning, with an error allowing Seattle to extend its early rally. This was a better performance than his last start, but Soriano has allowed 12 runs (11 earned) over 6.1 innings in September and has given up four or more runs in four of his last seven starts. He's at a 4.13 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 152:76 K:BB through 167.2 innings over 30 starts this season. The 26-year-old's next outing is projected to be at Milwaukee, but it's worth noting he was pushed back a day for this turn through the rotation. With a number of the Angels' starters laboring, the team may consider going to a six-man unit to ease everyone's burden, though the pitching plans for the remainder of the season are not yet known.

Arozarena went 2-for-4 with two walks, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 7-6, extra-innings win over the Angels.

Arozarena has gone 10-for-24 (.417) during his six-game hitting streak, and he's added three steals and seven RBI in that span. The outfielder has remained an effective run producer even in the leadoff spot. For the season, Arozarena is sporting a .246/.345/.451 slash line with 27 home runs, 28 steals, 73 RBI, 89 runs scored, 30 doubles and one triple over 145 contests.

Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, two RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 7-6, extra-innings win over the Angels.

Rodriguez was on the front end of a double steal with one out in the 10th inning, but the Mariners left him stranded on third base. This was his fourth multi-hit effort over his last six games, and he's now hitting .273 (12-for-44) with 11 RBI over 10 contests in September. The outfielder is up to a .267/.317/.474 slash line with 30 home runs, 26 steals, 89 RBI, 95 runs scored, 27 doubles and four triples over 146 contests. A productive end of the year on the basepaths would help him secure his second 30-30 campaign in four MLB seasons, but he would need to pick up the pace, as he has just six steals over his last 37 contests.

Crawford went 2-for-5 with a double, three RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Thursday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Angels.

This was Crawford's third multi-hit effort in his last five games. The shortstop opened the scoring with a two-run double in the second inning and added an RBI single in the 11th to tie it at 5-5, keeping the game alive before the Mariners walked it off in the 12th. Prior to Thursday, Crawford had logged just one RBI and no extra-base hits over his previous 14 games and hadn't recorded a steal since Aug. 9 versus the Rays. On the season, he has a .263/.353/.355 slash line with nine home runs, eight steals, 50 RBI and 63 runs scored over 143 contests.
