McGonigle went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 5-3 win over the Yankees.

As he's done all season, McGonigle helped set the table for the Tigers as the leadoff man, and he managed to extend his hitting streak to eight games in the process. The likely American League Rookie of the Year frontrunner is now slashing .285/.393/.431, and he's only struck out 42 times across 75 contests. McGonigle's ability to make consistent contact at the plate should help him avoid any prolonged slumps moving forward and keep his fantasy value elevated.

Grissom is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Grissom will be excluded from the starting nine for the third time in four games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With Jorge Soler (oblique) making an unexpected return from the injured list Monday, the Angels now have one fewer spot in the lineup available, and Grissom looks like he could find himself on the bench more often than not. Grissom could end up settling into the short side of a platoon with either Nolan Schanuel or Donovan Walton, the latter of whom has produced a .927 OPS since getting called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on May 22 to earn himself a steady role.

Holliday (groin) is feeling better and will go through pregame work ahead of Monday's game against the Angels, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

While Holliday is missing his second consecutive game, he will undergo pregame work with the rest of the team Monday as he begins to feel better. The 22-year-old will look to get back in the starting lineup Tuesday night against Angels starter Ryan Johnson.

Seigler will start at second base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Rockies.

Seigler will cover second base for the third game in a row and appears set to receive an extended look as an everyday player while after Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm) recently joined the likes of Trevor Story (sports hernia), Romy Gonzalez (shoulder/hip) and Nick Sogard (oblique) on the shelf. Over parts of two seasons in the big leagues between Milwaukee and Boston, Seigler has produced a .192/.286/.219 slash line with zero home runs and one stolen base across 85 plate appearances.

Gonzalez (shoulder/hip) will resume a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Worcester, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Gonzalez has been out all season following left shoulder surgery, and he had to have his rehab assignment paused over the weekend due to a sore left hip flexor. He is feeling well enough to return to action Tuesday, and Gonzalez could rejoin Boston's active roster before the end of June.

Crochet (shoulder/lat) has not yet been cleared to resume a throwing program following a scheduled re-evaluation Monday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy said that Crochet's left shoulder and lat are "improving," but not enough that he's ready to throw. Crochet landed on the injured list in late April with left shoulder inflammation and then encountered a setback in early June when he sustained a low-grade left lat strain. The southpaw has been throwing a plyometric ball, but a timetable for his return won't become clearer until he ramps up a throwing program.

Basallo is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

Basallo will get a well-earned breather after starting each of the previous 10 contests, including the last four at catcher. It will be Sam Huff doing the catching and batting ninth in Monday's series opener.

Holliday (groin) remains out of the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Angels.

Holliday will miss a second straight start as he deals with groin tightness. He is considered day-to-day for the time being. Jeremiah Jackson will again cover second base in Holliday's stead.

Gray is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

On the bench for a third straight game against a right-handed starting pitcher, Gray appears to have lost hold of his strong-side platoon role at shortstop. The Twins will once again turn shortstop over to the hot-hitting Ryan Kreidler, who has earned himself more opportunities by producing an .880 OPS since Minnesota recalled him from Triple-A St. Paul on May 14.

Romo is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Though the White Sox kept him on the big-league roster and optioned Edgar Quero to Triple-A Charlotte to make room for Kyle Teel's (hamstring/knee) return from the 60-day injured list, Romo will be headed for a reduction in playing time while Teel settles back in as Chicago's clear No. 1 catcher. Romo produced an .857 OPS in his first month with the White Sox after receiving a promotion from Triple-A on April 25, but he's fallen off badly since the start of June, slashing .071/.100/.107 with a 29 percent strikeout rate in 31 plate appearances.
