Henderson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a 5-3 win over the Tigers in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Henderson's bat has warmed up over the last week-plus -- he's gone 14-for-34 (.412) with two homers and four RBI over his last eight contests. The shortstop is now batting .230 with a .720 OPS, 11 homers, 25 RBI, 27 runs scored, six stolen bases, 10 doubles and a triple over 51 games. Henderson has never had an OPS lower than .787 in a full season, so he should continue to improve.

Cowser went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in a 5-3 win over the Tigers in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Cowser was on the bench versus southpaw Framber Valdez to begin the game. He entered in the eighth inning to replace Blaze Alexander, but it was an inning later when Cowser made his mark with a walk-off blast against Kenley Jansen. Cowser has hit safely in his last four games, going 4-for-8 with a stolen base and three strikeouts in that span. He's getting in the lineup more often against right-handed pitchers, which could lead to Tyler O'Neill seeing less playing time. Cowser is batting .200 with a .573 OPS, two homers, 12 RBI, 11 runs scored, a steal and two doubles over 103 plate appearances this season.

Messick (6-1) earned the win Sunday over the Phillies, allowing five hits and two walks over 5.2 scoreless innings. He struck out six.

While Messick came an out shy of logging a quality start, the left-hander was able to keep the Phillies off the board en route to his third win in his last four outings. Messick's ERA is down to 2.24 through 11 starts (64.1 innings) this year with a 1.04 WHIP and 70:19 K:BB. He'll look to keep rolling his next time out, tentatively scheduled to come at home against the Red Sox.

Young allowed two unearned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Tigers in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.

Young didn't get much run support while he was on the mound, but the Orioles stepped up after his exit. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in all four of his outings in May, giving up a total of nine runs (seven earned) with a 17:11 K:BB across 21.2 innings this month. For the season, he has a 3.47 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB across 36.1 innings over seven starts. Young's next start is projected to be at home versus the Blue Jays.

Rasmussen did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Yankees. He allowed five hits and one walk while striking out six over seven scoreless innings.

Rasmussen was excellent Sunday, blanking the Yankees for the second time already this season, though he ultimately came away with a no-decision in the Rays' shutout loss. The 30-year-old Rasmussen has held opponents to three earned runs or fewer in nine of his 10 starts this year. His ERA is down to 2.78 with a 0.98 WHIP and 51:10 K:BB across 55 innings. Rasmussen will look to keep rolling his next time out, currently lined up to come at home against the Angels.

Meckler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

After being called up from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday when Josh Lowe was demoted in a corresponding move, Meckler started in left field in the first two games of the series with Texas, going 3-for-6 with a home run, a walk and three RBI. Though he'll be on the bench Sunday against Rangers southpaw MacKenzie Gore, Meckler's solid pair of performances following his call-up could allow him to hold down a strong-side platoon role in the short term.

Vierling went 3-for-4 with one RBI in a 5-3 loss to the Orioles in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Vierling had gone five contests without a multi-hit effort, though he had a home run and three walks in that span. The outfielder has struggled to string together consistent performances at the plate this season. He's batting .217 with a .668 OPS, four home runs, 21 RBI, 12 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases over 146 plate appearances. He has a clear path to at-bats as long as the Tigers are missing Parker Meadows (arm), Javier Baez (ankle) and Kerry Carpenter (shoulder).

O'Hoppe (head) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe passed concussion tests after colliding with the Rangers' Josh Jung during a play at the plate in Friday's series opener, but the Angels will choose to hold him out of the starting nine for the second straight game as a matter of precaution. Sebastian Rivero will get the nod at catcher Sunday as O'Hoppe sets his sights on a return to the lineup Tuesday in Detroit.

Weathers did not factor into the decision Sunday against Tampa Bay, allowing four hits and three walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out four.

It was an impressive bounce-back performance from Weathers, who made it through seven innings for the third time this season, after he gave up five runs in 5.1 innings his last time out against the Blue Jays. Through his first 10 starts with the Yankees, Weathers is 2-2 with a solid 3.14 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 65:16 K:BB across 57.1 innings. The southpaw is currently lined up to face the A's on the road in his next outing.

Schanuel (calf) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Per Fletcher, the Angels are viewing Schanuel as day-to-day due to a tight left calf, an injury that had been bothering him on and off throughout the season before he suffered an aggravation during a defensive play at first base in Saturday's 5-2 win. Vaughn Grissom will fill in for the banged-up Schanuel at first base in the series finale.
