Zack Kelly RP | BOS
Red Sox's Zack Kelly: Optioned Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Kelly to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Kelly had been solid out of the bullpen for Boston with a 3.31 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and a 14:7 K:BB through 17 appearances. The demotion is a mild surprise given that the right-hander had been great in his last 12 games with a 1.64 ERA and 11 strikeouts. He seems likely to get another look in the majors later this season.

Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Angels' Jorge Soler: Getting breather Thursday
Soler isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Soler will get a chance to rest his legs Thursday after blasting his ninth homer of the season during the Angels' extra-inning loss Wednesday. Mike Trout will occupy the DH spot while Soler rests, giving Jose Siri an opportunity to start in center field.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
Angels' Yoan Moncada: Sitting third straight
Moncada isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Moncada is slashing just .191/.310/.300 through 129 plate appearances this season, and Thursday's game will be the third consecutive contest that he's begun on the bench. Vaughn Grissom will start at the hot corner while Moncada sits, and that may be the new norm for the Angels going forward.

Logan O'Hoppe C | LAA
Angels' Logan O'Hoppe: Taking seat Thursday
O'Hoppe isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
O'Hoppe will get a break during Thursday's series finale after going 2-for-11 with two runs scored and four strikeouts across the first three games of the series. Sebastian Rivero will fill in behind the plate and bat eighth.

Tayron Guerrero RP | BOS
Red Sox's Tyron Guerrero: Expected to be called up
The Red Sox will call up Guerrero from Triple-A Worcester prior to Friday's contest versus the Twins, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
It's a story of perseverance for the 35-year-old Guerrero, who has not pitched in the big leagues since 2019. He's earned the promotion by collecting a 0.92 ERA and 22:6 K:BB over 19.2 innings while notching three saves with Worcester. It's unclear what the corresponding move will be in order to free up a roster spot for Guerrero.

Jesus Sanchez RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Jesus Sanchez: Not in Thursday's lineup
Sanchez (chest) is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.
Sanchez was lifted from Wednesday's contest after getting the wind knocked out of him. The left-handed hitter likely wasn't going to start Thursday, anyway, with the Yankees sending southpaw Carlos Rodon to the bump, but it's unclear whether he'll be available off the bench. Myles Straw will cover right field for Toronto in Sanchez's stead.

Trent Grisham CF | NYY
Yankees' Trent Grisham: Imaging comes back clean
Imaging on Grisham's left knee came back negative Thursday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Grisham made an early exit from Wednesday's contest after suffering a knee injury in the second inning, though he seems to have escaped the incident without suffering any structural damage. He'll begin Thursday's game against Toronto on the bench while Spencer Jones starts in center field, but Grisham could be available to play in an emergency.

Austin Wynns C | TEX
Angels' Austin Wynns: Finds home in Anaheim
Wynns signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Saturday and was assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Wynns has gone 2-for-11 with a double through his first three games with Salt Lake. After the Athletics released Wynns earlier this month, the Angels elected to bring the 35-year-old aboard to bolster the organization's catching depth. Travis d'Arnaud (foot) is currently on the injured list and is without a clear timeline for a return, so Wynns should get the chance to play regularly at Salt Lake while Sebastian Rivero replaces d'Arnaud as the top backup to No. 1 catcher Logan O'Hoppe at the big-league level.

Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: Resting up Thursday
Wells isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.
Wells will begin Thursday's game in the dugout after striking out in four of the five at-bats he's had in this series. J.C. Escarra will handle catching duties and bat ninth in the series finale.
