Seth Brown LF | ATH
Athletics' Seth Brown: Singles in return
Brown, recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas earlier in the day, started in right field in Thursday's 7-0 loss to the Red Sox and went 1-for-3.
Brown had been swinging a blistering bat in the PCL, but the slugging outfielder endured a nightmarish 63-game stint with Oakland prior to his June 16 demotion, generating a .189 batting average, .557 OPS and career-high 33.8 percent strikeout rate across 195 plate appearances. Brown will have a lot to prove now that he's back in the majors if he's going to stick around when the Athletics get healthier.

Jonatan Clase LF | TOR
Mariners' Jonatan Clase: Singles, scores in return
Clase went 1-for-4 with a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
Clase didn't appear in Wednesday's series finale against the Padres after being recalled from Triple-A Tacoma earlier in the day, but he logged his first big-league plate appearances since May 27 in a lopsided victory Thursday. Promoted to help fill in while Dominic Canzone (groin) is on the injured list, Clase is looking to narrow the gulf between his performance at Triple-A and the big-league level after producing just a .176 batting average and .406 OPS in his first 15 games with Seattle earlier this season.

Julio Rodriguez CF | SEA
Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Reaches four times Thursday
Rodriguez went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
The Mariners' offense has woken up this week, and Rodriguez has been a big part of that resurgence. The outfielder went 4-for-4 against the Padres on Tuesday, and he rebounded from an 0-for-4 night Wednesday to once again reach safely during every plate appearance in a lopsided victory Thursday. Rodriguez is hitting .526 (10-for-19) with three doubles and two home runs over his last seven games, a span in which elevated 30.8 percent line-drive and 46.2 percent hard-contact rates have helped lead to a massive .727 BABIP.

Ty France 1B | SD
Mariners' Ty France: Multi-hit effort in win
France went 2-for-5 with an RBI, a double and a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
France drove home the second of the Mariners' 11 runs with a first-inning fielder's choice and eventually came around to score. He has now hit safely in four straight games and reached base in nine of his last 10 contests, but walks and singles have been his calling card -- the veteran has just three extra-base hits over 86 plate appearances since returning from the injured list June 18.

Jorge Polanco DH | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Two hits Thursday
Polanco went 2-for-4 with a two-run single and a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.
Polanco got in on the fun during the Mariners' 11-run outburst by extending Seattle's lead to 4-0 with his first-inning, two-run single. The veteran finally coaxed his average back over .200 for the first time since April 15 with Thursday's multi-hit effort, his second in the last three games and only his fourth overall this season.

Ernie Clement 2B | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Swipes bag in Thursday's win
Clement went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's win over the Giants.
The 28-year-old has become the Jays' regular third baseman with Isiah Kiner-Falefa (knee) on the shelf and Addison Barger back in Triple-A. Clement has started 12 of the last 14 games at the hot corner, slashing .244/.261/.467 over that stretch with three homers, a steal, five runs and eight RBI. Kiner-Falefa only resumed baseball activities earlier this week and may not be ready to come off the IL immediately after the All-Star break, so Clement's starting stint could last into the latter part of July.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Three hits, three RBI in win
Crawford went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Angels.
Crawford hit a ground rule double in his first at-bat to lead off the contest before coming around to score Seattle's first run on a Josh Rojas single. The shortstop then went on to drive in runs in two of his next three trips to the plate, starting with a two-run shot in the fourth as the Mariners shot out to an 11-0 lead. It was Crawford's eighth long ball of the season and his first since June 18 against Cleveland. He's still batting just .194 (7-for-36) in July with three extra-base hits, six RBI and five runs scored.

Cal Raleigh C | SEA
Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Goes yard twice in win
Raleigh went 3-for-5 with two homers, four RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Angels.
Raleigh singled in his first trip to the plate before taking Jack Kochanowicz deep for a leadoff homer to open the third. The catcher would then add a second home run in the sixth to extend the Mariners' lead to 11 runs, giving him his second two-homer performance in his last three contests. Raleigh has also tallied multiple hits in five of his last seven games, batting .400 (10-for-25) over that stretch with four homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored.

David Hamilton 3B | MIL
Red Sox's David Hamilton: Two hits, run scored in win
Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a caught stealing in Thursday's 7-0 win over Oakland.
Hamilton doubled and scored in the first inning then singled and was caught stealing an inning later. It was the second time this season Hamilton has been thrown out on a steal attempt, but he's been successful 23 times. The infielder, whose hot bat from late May and early June had cooled recently, has multiple hits in two of the last three games.

Connor Wong C | BOS
Red Sox's Connor Wong: Homer, three runs scored in win
Wong went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Thursday's 7-0 win over the Athletics.
Wong walked and scored in the first inning, belted a solo home run in the third, then singled and scored on Masataka Yoshida's home run in the sixth. Wong's home run was his eighth in 68 games, one shy of the career-high nine he hit in 2023 over 126 games. The catcher is having a career year; his .826 OPS in 2024 is 156 points higher than what it was over his first three MLB seasons.
