  • Leody Taveras CF | BAL

Rangers' Leody Taveras: Swats homer in win

Taveras went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the White Sox.

Taveras tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth inning with the home run, his seventh of the season. The light-hitting outfielder has just three hits over the last 21 at-bats.

  • Paul DeJong SS | DET

White Sox's Paul DeJong: Smacks 17th homer

DeJong went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's extra-inning loss against the Rangers.

DeJong managed his second homer of the month and 17th of the season Monday. However, he has slumped significantly in July, hitting .163 with a 31.5 percent strikeout rate across 15 games. DeJong also has the potential to slip into a part-time role due to the promotion of Brooks Baldwin, though he has still managed to start three of the last four games in a split between shortstop and third base.

  • Marcus Semien 2B | NYM

Rangers' Marcus Semien: Bops homer in win

Semien went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the White Sox.

Semien went deep in the third inning, his 14th home run of the season. The hit extended his on-base streak to 13 games, during which he's slashing .313/.431/.542 with three home runs, two doubles, seven RBI, 10 runs and 10 walks.

  • Tommy Pham DH | CHW

White Sox's Tommy Pham: Ends homer drought

Pham went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's extra-inning loss against the Rangers.

Pham took Michael Lorenzen deep in the first inning to tally his first home run since June 21. Despite the lack of power, he's still hit pretty well in that span, maintaining a .258 batting average with 11 runs scored and three stolen bases across 26 games. Pham's status as a likely trade candidate could hurt his playing time, though he's been a decent source of runs and stolen bases to this point in the campaign.

  • Jose Miranda 3B | MIN

Twins' Jose Miranda: Could return by Friday

Miranda (back) could be cleared to begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Triple-A St. Paul, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Miranda has progressed nicely of late in his recovery from lower-back tightness and his clearance for game action appears imminent. If all goes well, he's likely to need just a couple rehab games before rejoining the Twins ahead of Friday's game in Detroit. With Royce Lewis (adductor) also tracking toward a return Friday to take over at third base, Miranda could see most of his starts at designated hitter.

  • Brooks Baldwin SS | CHW

White Sox's Brooks Baldwin: Tallies first RBI

Baldwin went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's extra-inning loss against the Rangers.

Baldwin has started all four games at second base since being promoted for his big-league debut Friday. He's gone 2-for-14 with six strikeouts, though he showed some of his fantasy potential with both his first RBI and stolen base as a big-leaguer in Monday's contest. Baldwin's primary fantasy value looks likely to come from his speed, as he had 17 stolen bases across 82 games with Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte before reaching the majors.

  • Royce Lewis 1B | MIN

Twins' Royce Lewis: Targeting Friday return

Lewis (groin) expects to play two rehab games with Triple-A St. Paul before being activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's game in Detroit, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Lewis will begin his rehab assignment Tuesday, play back-to-back days, rest Thursday and then return to the Twins lineup Friday, assuming all goes well. The talented young infielder has missed most of July with an adductor strain and has been limited to just 24 contests this season due to injuries.

  • Jose Siri LF | LAA

Rays' Jose Siri: Three homers in last five games

Siri went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk Monday against the Yankees.

Siri accounted for the Rays' only run of the afternoon, slugging his 14th homer of the season. He has three long balls in his last five games and has also chipped in a pair of stolen bases across 14 games in July.

  • Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Tallies three hits

Pasquantino went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Monday's 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Pasquantino hit an RBI single and scored on a Salvador Perez home run in the third inning. It's been a decent but unspectacular July for Pasquantino -- he's batting .274 (17-for-62) with two extra-base hits and nine RBI over 15 contests this month. He's up to a .252/.312/.419 slash line with 11 home runs, 64 RBI, 43 runs scored, 22 doubles and two triples over 97 games this season as the Royals' starting first baseman. His best asset in 2024 has been a 13.2 percent strikeout rate, which has likely helped him prevent extended cold spells at the plate.

  • Royals' Hunter Renfroe: Goes deep in Monday's win

Renfroe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Renfroe tacked on a run in the fifth inning when he took Arizona reliever Miguel Castro deep. This was the veteran outfielder's first homer since June 28, though he hit a strong .283 over the 16 games between long balls. Renfroe is at a .227/.305/.397 slash line with nine homers, 35 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and 15 doubles through 80 contests overall, though he's been trending in the right direction in July.
