  • Jorge Polanco DH | NYM

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Multi-hit effort in return

Polanco (knee) went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in an extra-inning win over the Phillies on Saturday.

The veteran infielder had sat out Friday's series opener due to his nagging knee issues, but Polanco was starting at second base Saturday and managed to deliver one of three multi-hit efforts for the Mariners. Polanco's .215/.297/.352 season slash line still has plenty of room for improvement; however, the 31-year-old now boasts a .292 average and 1.019 OPS across 54 post-All-Star-break plate appearances, and his .375 average with men in scoring position during that span has helped him produce 10 RBI.

  • Zachary Neto SS | LAA

Angels' Zach Neto: Posts four RBI in win

Neto went 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Saturday's win over the Mets.

Neto walked in his first trip to the plate before going on to score the Angels' first run on a Kevin Pillar single two batters later. The shortstop went on to add an RBI single in the fifth followed by a three-run homer in the seventh, which proved to be the game winner. The long ball was Neto's third since the start of July, while the multi-hit performance was his first since July 21 against Oakland. He's batting .241 (7-for-29) over his last 10 contests with five RBI and six runs scored.

  • Max Kepler LF | ARI

Twins' Max Kepler: Rejoining lineup Sunday

Kepler (head) will start in right field and bat fifth Sunday against the White Sox.

The 31-year-old was held out of the starting nine for the past two games after being hit in the helmet by a ball Wednesday, though he came off the bench Saturday and went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Kepler has enjoyed a strong start to the second half, as he has a .325/.386/.500 slash line with two doubles, a triple and a homer in 11 games since the All-Star break.

  • Luke Raley RF | SEA

Mariners' Luke Raley: Delivers as in-game replacement

Raley entered Saturday's extra-inning win over the Phillies as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning and remained in the game as the designated hitter, going 1-for-2 with a two-run double.

Raley originally had the night off, but he was called on to hit for Mitch Garver with the bases loaded in the sixth inning and the Mariners down 5-2. The slugger delivered in a critical moment, driving home Justin Turner and Jorge Polanco with his timely two-bagger to push his RBI total across the last two games to five. Raley has now reached safely in each of the last six games in which he's registered an official plate appearance, and he's laced three of his five hits during that span for extra bases.

  • Mitch Haniger RF | SEA

Mariners' Mitch Haniger: Plays hero in Saturday's win

Haniger went 2-for-3 with two RBI from a solo home run and a game-winning bases-loaded walk while adding another base on balls and another run in an extra-inning victory over the Phillies on Saturday.

Haniger was responsible for the Mariners' first and final runs of the night, accomplishing the former with his 11th home run of the season in the fifth to start a comeback from a 5-0 deficit. It was Haniger's second straight game leaving the yard after having homered just once in the previous 13 contests, and it also extended his on-base streak to eight consecutive starts. Haniger's plate discipline also paid off in the 10th when he pushed the game-winning run across with his second walk of the night, and he's looked much more like his typically reliable self of late by forging a .286 average and 1.087 OPS across the 36 plate appearances covering his last nine games.

  • Tyler O'Neill RF | BAL

Red Sox's Tyler O'Neill: Sitting again Sunday

O'Neill (illness) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

O'Neill will hit the bench for a second straight game, after he was away from the team for Saturday's 7-4 loss while battling a stomach virus. The 29-year-old is back with the team for Sunday's series finale and is expected to be available off the bench, per Sean McAdam of MassLive.com.

  • Ian Hamilton RP | ATL

Yankees' Ian Hamilton: Increasing intensity of throwing

Hamilton (lat) is scheduled to throw a high-intensity bullpen session Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Hamilton is recovering from the lat strain he suffered in mid-June. The righty reliever resumed throwing in early July but has yet to face live hitters. That could be his next step if Tuesday's session goes well, and Hamilton may be able to begin a minor-league rehab assignment within the next two weeks with a goal of rejoining the Yankees in late August or early September.

  • Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Swats pair of doubles in win

Arozarena went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs in an extra-inning win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Arozarena's blistering bat continued making an impact Saturday, with the veteran trade acquisition helping ignite the Mariners' comeback from a 5-1 deficit with his inning-opening double in the sixth after also having laced a two-bagger in the first frame. Arozarena, who'd been in the midst of a highly underwhelming season in several aspects during his time with the Rays, has brought his slash line up to a season-best .220/.328/.406, and he boasts a 1.010 OPS across 33 plate appearances in a Seattle uniform.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Yankees' Jon Berti: Running at 80 percent

Berti (calf) has increased his running intensity to 80 percent, and Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that the utility man is "trending back in a good direction," per MLB.com.

Berti has been on the injured list since late May after suffering a left calf strain. He resumed running in late July and has since upped his intensity, though he remains without a definite timeline for a return. Boone did mention Saturday that Berti is closer than Anthony Rizzo (forearm) to rejoining the Yankees, according to the Associated Press.

  • Bryce Miller SP | SEA

Mariners' Bryce Miller: Can't make it through five frames

Miller did not factor into the decision in an extra-inning win over the Phillies on Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over 4.1 innings while striking out four.

The Phillies' lineup put Miller to task early, posting back-to-back hits to open the contest before tagging the right-hander for one run in the first. Miller then managed to keep Philadelphia off the board over the next three innings, but he had to be relieved by Tayler Saucedo with one out in the fifth after failing to retire three of the first four batters he faced in the frame. The 25-year-old Miller had gone at least six innings in three consecutive starts coming into Saturday's no-decision, while the four runs were the most he's surrendered since June 23 against the Marlins (span of five starts). On a positive note, Miller has issued only two walks since the start of July while posting 21 strikeouts over that stretch.
