Maikel Garcia 3B | KC
Royals' Maikel Garcia: Joins 30-steal club
Garcia went 0-for-1 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Twins.
Garcia entered the game as a pinch runner in the seventh inning and wreaked havoc on the basepaths by stealing second and third. He then scored on a Vinnie Pasquantino double. The pair of steals give Garcia 30 thefts on 31 attempts this season, the first time he's reached that milestone. He's added a mediocre .236/.284/.341 slash line with six home runs, 48 RBI, 74 runs scored, 21 doubles and five triples over 118 contests. While he's no longer starting on an everyday basis, Garcia is firmly ahead of Paul DeJong for playing time at third base.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Royals' Adam Frazier: Racks up three hits Wednesday
Frazier went 3-for-4 in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Twins.
Frazier has gone 6-for-18 (.333) over eight games in August. He continues to fill a part-time role between second base and right field against right-handed pitchers. The veteran lifted his average back above the Mendoza Line at .205 with a .577 OPS, three home runs, 17 RBI, 26 runs scored and two stolen bases through 235 plate appearances this season.

Paul DeJong SS | DET
Royals' Paul DeJong: Strong showing in win
DeJong went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, a walk and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Twins.
DeJong had gone just 1-for-11 over his last six games before breaking out of the slump Wednesday. The infielder reached the 20-homer mark for the first time since he hit 30 in 2019. He's added a .235/.285/.442 slash line with 46 RBI, 44 runs scored, 15 doubles and two stolen bases across 112 contests between the Royals and White Sox. DeJong's big game could help him earn more playing time, but he's unlikely to be anywhere near an everyday player in the Royals' crowded infield.

Gavin Sheets 1B | SD
White Sox's Gavin Sheets: Responsible for offense in loss
Sheets went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 loss to the Yankees.
Sheets was the only Chicago batter with multiple hits in the contest, and he produced both of the team's runs. He snapped a 47-game homerless drought with his solo shot in the second inning. Sheets has been heating up, going 13-for-24 (.542) with five doubles and six RBI during his six-game hitting streak. For the season, he's slashing .234/.310/.379 with eight homers, 37 RBI, 30 runs scored, 24 doubles and one stolen base over 107 contests.

Davis Martin SP | CHW
White Sox's Davis Martin: Takes no-decision versus Yankees
Martin allowed a run on four hits and three walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings to take a no-decision versus the Yankees on Wednesday.
Martin got his one misstep out of the way early, allowing a solo home run to the red-hot Juan Soto in the first inning. Martin exited with the lead, but the White Sox's bullpen imploded in the seventh and eighth innings. Through four outings (three starts), Martin has pitched to a 3.00 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 17:10 K:BB across 18 innings. The walk rate is likely to remain a concern, and pitching for the White Sox won't put him in line for many wins. He's tentatively projected for a road start in San Francisco his next time out.

Oswaldo Cabrera SS | CIN
Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera: Records steal in win
Cabrera went 2-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the White Sox.
Cabrera's playing time predictably dropped when the Yankees traded for Jazz Chisholm, but Chisholm is now out indefinitely with an elbow injury. This has opened up third base for Cabrera, who has hit safely in each of his last five games. The utility man is at a .248/.294/.376 slash line with eight home runs, four steals, 35 RBI and 39 runs scored across 280 plate appearances this year.

Juan Soto LF | NYM
Yankees' Juan Soto: Keeps rolling Wednesday
Soto went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three walks and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the White Sox.
Soto opened the scoring with a first-inning solo shot. He walked in his last three plate appearances, including once intentionally during the Yankees' eighth-inning rally. Soto's last six hits (over a span of four games) have all been homers, giving him 34 on the year. He's added a .307 average, 1.052 OPS, 87 RBI and a major-league-leading 103 runs scored through 118 contests.

Austin Wells C | NYY
Yankees' Austin Wells: Smacks ninth homer
Wells went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the White Sox.
Wells' homer was his first since July 26, though he batted a strong .298 over the 14 contests between long balls. The catcher continues to bat cleanup versus right-handers, keeping him in a prime spot to rack up RBI in a strong lineup. For the season, Wells is slashing .257/.347/.426 with nine homers, 36 RBI, 32 runs scored and one stolen base over 292 plate appearances.
-
Andres Gimenez SS | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Produces nice stat line Wednesday
Gimenez went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a stolen base in a 6-1 win against the Cubs on Wednesday.
Gimenez notched three of Cleveland's seven hits and drove in half of the team's runs in the productive performance. The trio of RBI pushed his season total to 50, while the theft moved him up to 20 on the campaign. Gimenez has now driven in at least 50 runs and stolen at least 20 bags in three straight seasons.

Aaron Judge RF | NYY
Yankees' Aaron Judge: Makes history in win
Judge went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double, a walk and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the White Sox.
Judge slugged his 300th career homer when he went deep in the eighth inning. He became the fastest player in major-league history to reach the 300-homer mark, doing so in his 955th game to easily surpass Ralph Kiner (1,087 games) to that milestone mark. Judge is batting .500 (20-for-40) with four homers over 12 games in August, lifting his slash line to a stellar .333/.467/.707 with 43 long balls, 110 RBI, 95 runs scored, six stolen bases, 28 doubles and a triple through 120 contests.
