Weissert struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 4-2 extra-inning win over the Athletics.

Weissert got the call for the 10th inning after Aroldis Chapman was utilized to keep the game tied in the ninth. Weissert has allowed four runs with a 9:1 K:BB over 10 innings in July, but he's also scooped up three wins this month. On the year, he has a 4.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB through 42.1 innings while adding a save, five holds and two blown saves. He's not a realistic threat to Chapman's status as the Red Sox's closer.

Sandoval allowed two runs on five hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Wednesday.

Sandoval gave up solo home runs to Jonah Heim and Lawrence Butler but otherwise kept the A's off the board. This was the second time in four starts Sandoval has gotten to the five-inning mark as he continues to build up after missing more than two years due to elbow and other arm-related injuries. The southpaw has posted a 3.32 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 19 innings so far this season. Sandoval is projected to make his next start at home versus the White Sox.

Arozarena went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Dodgers.

Arozarena reached on an error and stole second in the first inning. The theft was his 20th of the year, making him one of 16 players to reach the 20-steal plateau through Wednesday's action. The outfielder has gone 10-for-46 (.217) over 12 contests since the All-Star break. For the season, Arozarena is batting .278 with an .816 OPS, 13 home runs, 47 RBI, 66 runs scored, 21 doubles and one triple over 101 contests.

Hancock (6-5) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over five innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Hancock held his own in a tough matchup, but the Mariners' offense didn't give him much in the way of help. He ended up allowing a total of five runs over 19.2 innings across four games in July, adding a 15:5 K:BB for the month. The right-hander has maintained a 3.26 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 102:27 K:BB through 110.1 innings over 20 starts on the campaign. His name has swirled in trade rumors as a candidate to get moved to clear the Mariners' logjam of starting pitchers, so it's unclear if he'll remain with Seattle past Monday's deadline. If he doesn't get dealt, he's tentatively lined up for a home start versus the Tigers.

Pena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Angels.

Pena's homer in the third inning guaranteed he would extend his hitting streak to 11 games. That span has seen him go 19-for-46 (.413) with six long balls, accounting for half of his 12 homers this season. Overall this year, the veteran shortstop is batting .311 with an .866 OPS, 31 RBI, 50 runs scored, eight stolen bases and 10 doubles over 62 contests.

Diaz went 4-for-5 with a solo home run, a second RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Angels.

Diaz sat out both of the previous two games, and the rest seems to have benefited his performance. This was his first multi-hit effort since July 6 versus the Nationals, and it included his first homer since July 10. The catcher is batting .247 with a .677 OPS, seven homers, 25 RBI, 22 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 51 games this season.

Antonacci went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday against the Yankees.

Antonacci started a key rally in the eighth inning, popping a two-run home run to cut Chicago's deficit to one. It was his eighth homer of the season and third in his last 13 starts. Antonacci has hit only .222 in that latter span, though he has managed to tally 10 runs scored, six RBI and a stolen base.

Abreu struck out one over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Angels.

Josh Hader had pitched four of the last five days, so Abreu was called upon to close out this game. This was Abreu's second save since the All-Star break, but he is unlikely to carve out a larger sharing of closing opportunities as long as Hader is healthy. For the year, Abreu has a 4.74 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 48:28 K:BB through 38 innings, adding seven saves and six holds.

Wesneski (1-0) allowed three runs on seven hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out four over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Angels on Wednesday.

Wesneski made his first major-league appearance since May of 2025, completing his recovery from Tommy John surgery. The right-hander showed some rust, but he took advantage of a favorable matchup to get the win while throwing 52 of 79 pitches for strikes. It wouldn't be surprising for Wesneski to operate with a slight workload restriction for a few more starts. He is tentatively lined up for a home start versus the Blue Jays next week.

Murakami went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and three runs scored Wednesday against the Yankees.

Murakami delivered a clutch home run in the eighth inning to tie the game at 4-4. He also scored a game-tying run in the 11th frame. After starting slowly following his return from the injured list in mid-July, Murakami is now in the midst of a six-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-24 with three home runs, seven RBI and eight runs scored.
