Jose Siri LF | LAA
Rays' Jose Siri: Taking seat Monday
Siri is not in the lineup for Monday's game in Seattle, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Siri has started every other game over the last six contests as he shares center field with Jonny DeLuca and occasionally Kameron Misner. It will be DeLuca patrolling center field and batting sixth for the Rays on Monday.

Daulton Varsho CF | HOU
Blue Jays' Daulton Varsho: Resting for nightcap
Varsho is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.
Earlier Monday, the Blue Jays and Red Sox completed a game that was originally suspended in the second inning June 26 due to inclement weather. After playing all eight innings of the Blue Jays' 4-1 win during the afternoon, Varsho will now get a chance to rest in the nightcap. Joey Loperfido will replace Varsho as the Blue Jays' starter in center field.

Yandy Diaz DH | TB
Rays' Yandy Diaz: Not in Monday's lineup
Diaz is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Seattle, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
It looks to be a routine day off for Diaz, who had started every game since July 26. Brandon Lowe will play first base and Dylan Carlson will bat leadoff for the series opener against the Mariners.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: At least one more rehab game
Crawford (finger) played in a simulated game Monday and will likely need at least one more rehab game before being activated from the 10-day injured list, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Crawford played two rehab games with Triple-A Tacoma over the weekend before shifting to a simulated setting Monday because it's an idle day across the minors. He's expected to do the same Tuesday and would appear in line to return to the Mariners' lineup later this week if all goes well. Crawford has been out since late July with a hairline fracture of his right pinky finger.

Brandon Eisert RP | PIT
Blue Jays' Brandon Eisert: Appointed as 27th man
The Blue Jays recalled Eisert from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday.
Toronto is designating Eisert as its 27th man for a de facto doubleheader with Boston, after the two teams previously completed a game earlier Monday that had been suspended in the second inning back on June 26. He'll provide a fresh relief arm for the nightcap Monday and will presumably be returned to Triple-A once the contest concludes.

Manuel Margot CF | DET
Twins' Manuel Margot: Leading off regularly vs. lefties
Margot will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against Atlanta.
Margot has found a home atop the lineup when the Twins face left-handed pitchers like Atlanta's Max Fried, but the outfielder's playing time remains more sporadic against right-handers. The 29-year-old hasn't done much to make a case for earning more work versus righties; he's slashing .210/.262/.290 over 150 plate appearances against them thus far in 2024.

Mitch Haniger RF | SEA
Mariners' Mitch Haniger: Not starting Monday
Haniger is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.
Hanniger will begin Monday's contest in the dugout after going 0-for-7 with two strikeouts over his last two starts. In Haniger's stead, Justin Turner will serve as the Mariners' designated hitter and will bat sixth against Rays right-hander Ryan Pepiot.

Trevor Larnach LF | MIN
Twins' Trevor Larnach: Getting day off versus lefty
Larnach is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.
With lefty Max Fried toeing the rubber for Atlanta, the lefty-hitting Larnach will take a seat in the series opener. Royce Lewis will get a day out of the infield and will serve as the Twins' designated hitter in Larnach's stead while Jose Miranda checks into the lineup at Lewis' usual spot at third base.

Edouard Julien 2B | COL
Twins' Edouard Julien: Sitting against southpaw
Julien is out of the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.
The lefty-hitting Julien had started in each of the last four games at second base, but he'll head to the bench Monday while Atlanta sends southpaw Max Fried to the hill. Julien could be at risk of losing out on his large-side platoon role and may even be demoted to Triple-A St. Paul at some point during the upcoming week, as fellow infielder Brooks Lee (bicep/shoulder) looks to be nearing a return from the 10-day injured list.
