  • Taylor Ward RF | SEA

Angels' Taylor Ward: Productive in win

Ward went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a second run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Ward homered while leading off the bottom of the first inning for the second time in three games. He was also on base in the fifth when Anthony Rendon hit a two-run double that ended up being the difference in the contest. This was Ward's second multi-hit effort during his 12-game hitting streak, a span in which he's gone 14-for-47 (.298). The outfielder is up to 19 homers, 61 RBI, 58 runs scored, four stolen bases, 25 doubles and a .240/.311/.415 slash line through 131 contests overall.

  • Ryan Miller RP | DET

Angels' Ryan Miller: Grabs hold in return

Miller (leg) allowed a hit and struck out two over a scoreless inning, earning his first hold in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Miller was hit in the left leg by a comebacker in Friday's game, but it appears he's no worse for wear after just a one-day absence. The 28-year-old has allowed one run and posted a 4:1 K:BB over his first 2.1 innings in the majors since his call-up Tuesday. He's likely to see mostly low-leverage work as long as he stays with the big club.

  • Ben Joyce RP | LAA

Angels' Ben Joyce: Converts save Sunday

Joyce allowed a hit and struck out one over a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Joyce's scoreless streak is up to seven innings over his last six appearances. In that span, he has three saves, a hold and a win while striking out eight and walking none. The flame-throwing right-hander is up to four saves and eight holds while pitching to a 2.14 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB through 33.2 innings in the majors this season.

  • Caden Dana SP | LAA

Angels' Caden Dana: Wins major-league debut

Dana (1-0) allowed two runs on two hits and four walks while striking out four over six innings to earn the win over the Mariners on Sunday.

Dana was called up from Double-A Rocket City on Friday in advance of his debut. While his control was a little shaky, he was able to limit the Mariners to a Luke Raley solo home run in the second inning and a Victor Robles sacrifice fly in the third. Dana has improved over time in the minors in regards to cutting his walk rate -- he posted a 2.6 BB/9 while maintaining a 2.59 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over 135.2 innings with Rocket City this year. The 20-year-old right-hander was sharper than Samuel Aldegheri, who debuted Friday, so if the Angels go with a five-man rotation in September, Dana has the early edge to staying in a starting role. He's tentatively projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rangers, which would hold true if the Angels opt to go with six starters.

  • Mitch Spence RP | KC

Athletics' Mitch Spence: Yields two runs

Spence allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out five during the extra-inning loss to Texas.

Spence allowed a run in each of the first and third innings but otherwise kept the Rangers in check. He threw just 47 of 87 pitches for strikes and walked at least three batters for the sixth time in his last nine outings. Spence is 0-3 with a 4.60 ERA since the start of August and hasn't earned a win since July 27. He's currently in line for a home matchup against the Tigers.

  • Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Swipes 30th bag, scores three times

Chisholm went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two stolen bases and three runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

Chisholm stole multiple bases for the third time this season and is now up to 30 thefts on the year, a career best. Chisholm has excelled since returning from an elbow injury Aug. 23, batting .344 with five extra-base hits, seven runs scored and three stolen bases in 34 plate appearances.

  • Mason Miller RP | SD

Athletics' Mason Miller: Loses against Texas

Miller (1-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on three hits and a walk over 1.2 innings Sunday, striking out one and taking a loss against the Rangers.

Miller threw a scoreless ninth inning and recorded two outs to begin the 10th before falling apart. He gave up an RBI single to Adolis Garcia before Josh Jung ripped a three-run, walk-off homer. Miller had thrown 12.1 straight scoreless frames through most of July and August but has been tagged with five earned runs over his last three appearances. He's now sporting a 2.52 ERA with an 87:19 K:BB and 23 saves through 53.2 innings.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Belts walk-off homer

Jung went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in Sunday's extra-inning win over Oakland.

Jung was 1-for-4 with a single and two punchouts before he ripped a walk-off shot in the 10th inning. He snapped a 10-game homerless drought with his first long ball since Aug. 18. Through 32 games this season, Jung is slashing .260/.275/.425 with 10 extra-base hits and 12 RBI over 131 plate appearances.

  • James McCann C | ARI

Orioles' James McCann: Goes deep in win

McCann went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's win against the Rockies.

McCann accounted for Baltimore's only two extra-base hits during the 6-1 victory. He ripped a two-run homer in the fourth inning followed by a double in the ninth. It was his fifth home run of the year and second in his last five appearances. McCann is slashing .223/.270/.348 with 13 extra-base hits and 22 RBI through 200 plate appearances.

  • Zach Eflin SP | BAL

Orioles' Zach Eflin: Fans nine in win

Eflin (10-7) allowed one run on four hits and a walk over seven innings Sunday, striking out nine and earning a win over Colorado.

Eflin returned from a brief stint on the injured list and showed no signs of rust. He rolled through six shutout frames before the Rockies finally pushed a run home in the seventh inning. Eflin forced 18 whiffs, including 13 with his curveball. He's been outstanding since being traded to the Orioles. In five starts with his new team, he's gone 5-0 with a 1.95 ERA and a 34:3 K:BB. The hot streak has lowered Eflin's season ERA to 3.60 with a 121:16 K:BB through 142.1 innings. He's currently lined up to face the Rays at home next weekend.
