George Springer DH | TOR
Blue Jays' George Springer: Out of Saturday's lineup
Springer isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Baltimore.
Springer will get a day to rest Saturday after going 2-for-7 with a run scored and a steal through the first two games of the series. His absence will allow Davis Schneider to start in left field while batting seventh.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Plays field Friday
Seager started at shortstop and went 1-for-4 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.
Seager was held out of the field and instead served as the designated hitter in Thursday's opener due to a recent calf issue. The Rangers exercised caution with the shortstop, whose calf injury was always considered minor.

Austin Slater RF | TB
White Sox's Austin Slater: Not starting Saturday
Slater isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
Slater will get a day off Saturday after contributing to Thursday's win with a solo home run. Brooks Baldwin will fill in as the Sox's right fielder and bat ninth.

Michael Taylor CF | CHW
White Sox's Michael Taylor: Resting Saturday
Taylor isn't in the lineup Saturday against the Angels.
Taylor went 1-for-3 with a run scored in a win over Los Angeles on Thursday but will take a seat Saturday against right-hander Jose Soriano. Luis Robert will fill the vacancy in center field while Nick Maton serves as Chicago's designated hitter, batting fifth.

Korey Lee C | CHW
White Sox's Korey Lee: Day off Saturday
Lee isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
Lee went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Thursday's win, but he'll retreat to the bench Saturday in favor of Matt Thaiss.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Rangers' Joc Pederson: In lineup against righty
Pederson started at designated hitter Friday and went 1-for-3 with a run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over Boston.
Pederson, who was held out of Thursday's season opener against a lefty, was in the lineup against a right-hander. However, Kevin Pillar pinch hit for Pederson with lefty Brennan Bernardino on the bump for the Red Sox in the eighth inning. Texas manager Bruce Bochy may be strict in using Pederson against right-handers only.

Leody Taveras CF | BAL
Rangers' Leody Taveras: Starts against righty
Taveras started in center field against right-hander Tanner Houck and went 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.
Taveras made his first start of the regular season after he rode the bench Thursday against a lefty. Kevin Pillar, who started Thursday, appears to have worked his way into a timeshare in center field to start the season. Taveras may not provide much value as a hitter, but he's posted double-digit steals each of the last four seasons at the major-league level.

Ian Hamilton RP | ATL
Yankees' Ian Hamilton: Beginning assignment
Hamilton will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
Hamilton started the season on the injured list due to an illness that put him significantly behind schedule during spring training. He's now set to continue ramping up in Triple-A games and should be able to return to the Yankees when eligible April 8.

Luis Urias 2B | TOR
Athletics' Luis Urias: Hits pinch-hit home run
Urias hit a pinch-hit home run in Friday's victory over Seattle.
Urias lost out on a starting job at both third base and second base this spring, but he will be used in a utility infield role. The 27-year-old slashed only .191/.303/.394 in 41 games with Seattle last season but clubbed 39 home runs for the Brewers from 2021 to 2022.
