Moncada (thumb) will likely be sidelined until Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Moncada was removed from Friday's game and was absent from Saturday's lineup after aggravating a thumb injury. It sounds as if Moncada will be able to avoid a stint on the injured list, and he'll have an extra day to rest with the Angels off Monday.

Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates.

Goldschmidt flied out in the first inning but reached base in each of his subsequent plate appearances. So far, he's hitting an impressive .345 with a homer, three RBI and seven runs scored across 33 plate appearances. The veteran seemed to be on the decline after a career-low .716 OPS in 2024, but hitting atop a potent Yankees lineup could make him a bargain this season.

Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a run scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates.

Chisholm stole both second and third base to earn his first two-steal performance of the season. The 27-year-old keeps filling the stat sheet, hitting .242 with four homers, eight RBI, seven runs scored and three steals over 37 plate appearances this season. He should continue to thrive hitting in the middle of a loaded Yankees lineup.

Grisham went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates.

Grisham took Bailey Falter deep twice, first with a solo homer in the third inning and then with a three-run shot in the fifth. He's logged three straight starts, going 6-for-11 with four extra-base hits, five runs scored and seven RBI in that stretch. While the 28-year-old is expected to be a bench option for the Yankees this season, he's making a strong early case for a more regular role.

Stroman did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 10-4 win over the Pirates, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts over four innings.

Stroman was pulled after a rough fourth inning, during which he walked three batters and gave up four runs. He generated only five whiffs on 74 pitches and didn't stick around long enough to benefit from a six-run outburst by the Yankees in the fifth frame. The 33-year-old owns a 7.27 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 6:4 K:BB across 8.2 innings and lines up to face the Giants next weekend.

Newcomb is scheduled to start for Boston in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader against St. Louis, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Saturday's matchup was postponed due to inclement weather, and the two teams will consequently play a twin bill Sunday. Newcomb is scheduled to oppose Andre Pallante in the opener, and the Red Sox have yet to announce their starter for the nightcap. Newcomb struggled in his first start of the campaign, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four batters over four innings in a loss to Baltimore on March 31.

Buxton went 0-for-3 with a hit by pitch, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

The contest got paused in the fourth inning when the 31-year-old outfielder got plunked in the hand by a 92.6 mph fastball from Spencer Arrighetti, but Buxton stayed in the game and got his revenge by immediately stealing his second bag of the season. Per Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic, there was no indication from Twins manager Rocco Baldelli that Buxton will require any further testing on his hand, but given his lengthy medical history, the team may elect to be cautious with him. Through eight appearances to begin the season, Buxton is batting just .214 (6-for-28), but he's added one homer, three RBI and six runs. The early activity on the basepaths is also encouraging, as he hasn't swiped double-digit bases in a season since 2019.

Miranda went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

The 26-year-old finally connected for his first extra-base hit of 2025 when he took Spencer Arrighetti deep in the fourth inning. Miranda has been a consistent presence in Minnesota's injury-depleted infield to begin the year, but he hasn't exactly seized the opportunity, batting .174 (4-for-23) in seven appearances with a 0:8 BB:K. Once players like Brooks Lee (back) and Royce Lewis (hamstring) are ready to come off the IL, Miranda is likely to be squeezed for playing time if he doesn't pick up the pace at the plate.

Ober came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out five.

It was a much better performance than in his season debut, when he got tagged for eight runs in 2.2 innings Sunday by the Cardinals, but Ober still ran his pitch count up to 84 (54 strikes) before exiting and failed to quality for a win despite plenty of run support. The outing shaved his ERA down to a still-ugly 12.15, and Ober will try to chip away at it further in his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Kansas City.

Altuve went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Twins.

The 34-year-old hooked a Bailey Ober slider down the left-field line for his 41st career leadoff homer, which is 12th on the all-time list and third among active players behind George Springer (60), Mookie Betts (52) and Kyle Schwarber (46). The shift to left field defensively this season hasn't impacted Altuve at the plate, and through eight games he's batting .364 (12-for-33) with two homers.
