Garcia went 1-for-3 in Monday's 7-0 loss to the Cubs.

Although he snapped an 0-for-17 skid with a single in the first inning Monday, Garcia remains without an RBI in his last seven games. The veteran outfielder has now gone just 6-for-34 (.176) with just four RBI so far, but he does have two home runs, three doubles, three walks and two stolen bases through 11 outings.

Lorenzen (1-1) earned the win Monday against the Twins, allowing one run on five hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Lorenzen managed to generate a solid 11 whiffs out of his 89 total pitches. The only blemish on the veteran right-hander's outing came in the second inning via a Willi Castro double. Lorenzen has looked sharp in the Kansas City rotation, pitching to a 3.18 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB over 11.1 innings. The 33-year-old faces a tall order in his next start, currently slated to be against the Yankees in New York this weekend.

Woods Richardson (0-1) took the loss Monday against the Royals, allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

The Minnesota right-hander struggled mightily in this 107-pitch start, equaling a career worst by giving up eight hits. Woods Richardson failed to find the strike zone and also matched a career worst in free passes issued with four. The 24-year-old now sports a 5.59 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 9.2 innings. He looks to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled to be against the Tigers at home this weekend.

Fitts (0-2) allowed three runs on six hits and four walks over six innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Blue Jays.

Fitts escaped a bases-loaded threat unscathed in the first inning before Toronto plated a pair of runs in the third and another in the fifth. He wasn't very effective and had to dance around a few sticky situations. Fitts tossed 102 pitches (67 strikes) and generated 13 whiffs, including five each with his fastball and slider. He's given up exactly three runs over six frames in each of his first two starts this season but has an 0-2 record to show for it. Fitts will continue searching for his first win in his next outing, which is projected to be on the road this weekend against the White Sox.

Berrios (1-1) yielded one run on four hits and three walks over seven innings Monday, striking out two and earning a win over Boston.

The lone run against Berrios was a third-inning RBI sacrifice fly from Rafael Devers. While it was a successful outing for Berrios, he forced only two swinging strikes on 88 total pitches (55 strikes). He generated two or fewer whiffs in two of his 32 starts during the 2024 season. Berrios now owns a 4.58 ERA with a 15:8 K:BB through 17.2 innings across three outings. His next start is projected to be in Baltimore this weekend.

Springer went 4-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored in Monday's win over Boston.

Springer was a nuisance at the plate for Boston's pitching staff all night and reached base safely in each of his five plate appearances. He knocked RBI singles in the third, fifth and seventh innings. After turning in the worst offensive season of his career (.674 OPS through 613 plate appearances) last year, Springer has been on a tear to begin the 2025 campaign. He's slashing .455/.514/.667 with eight RBI through 11 games.

Eovaldi (1-1) took the loss Monday against the Cubs after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

After throwing a complete-game shutout in his last time out against the Reds, Eovaldi was not nearly as sharp on a cold and windy Monday night at Wrigley Field. Miguel Amaya hit a sacrifice fly for a second-inning run, Ian Happ plated another on a fielder's choice during the third frame and Michael Busch ripped an RBI triple to bring home an inherited runner after Eovaldi was lifted in the fifth. The veteran right-hander still sports a 2.29 ERA, 0.66 WHIP and 21:2 K:BB ahead of his next scheduled start, which lines up to come against the Mariners at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park this weekend.

Narvaez is expected to serve as the team's starting catcher after it was announced Monday that Connor Wong (finger) will require a stint on the 10-day injured list, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Narvaez saw his four-game hitting streak snapped Monday after entering the game for Wong, though he's still off to a strong start to the 2025 campaign, now 6-for-18 with four RBI and two runs scored in five games. Narvaez is expected to handle the majority of the catching duties while Wong recovers from a fractured left pinky finger, while Blake Sabol is in line to serve as the backup catcher.

Kahnle tossed a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts in Monday's 6-2 win over the Yankees, and his ERA remains at 0.00 for the season.

It wasn't a save situation for Kahnle, but he still managed to wrap things up in the ninth inning against the team he played for the last two seasons. The righty has yet to allow a run so far in 2025 across four appearances, and he's emerged as the top candidate for saves in Detroit's bullpen. With Jason Foley working at the Triple-A level, Kahnle could tighten his grip on the closer role if he continues to pitch well, though Beau Brieske and Tyler Holton may remain in the mix for saves as well.

Wong will require a stint on the 10-day injured list after being diagnosed with fractured left finger, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Wong had his catching hand smacked by a bat during Monday's matchup against the Blue Jays, resulting in catcher's interference and his removal from the game. The injury will sideline Wong for at least the next 10 days and presumably longer given the nature of the issue. Skipper Alex Cora noted after the game that the team hasn't decided who to promote in Wong's stead, though Blake Sabol seems to be the likely candidate to handle backup catching duties. Carlos Narvaez will step in as the starting backstop while Wong recovers.
