Clevinger (0-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Guardians after allowing a run on one hit and three walks in just one-third of an inning.

Clevinger came on in relief of Tyler Gilbert with two outs in the eighth and got to the ninth unscathed. However, the Guardians opened up the ninth with an infield single and Clevinger proceeded to eventually walk in the winning run after issuing three consecutive free passes. He has walked five batters and recorded two outs in his last two appearances and likely will find himself in some lower-leverage situations for the time being.

Morton (0-3) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs on four hits and five walks over five-plus innings as the Orioles fell 4-3 to the Diamondbacks. He struck out four.

The 41-year-old righty got only 51 of his 87 pitches into the strike zone as his rough start to the campaign continues. Morton has struck out 17 batters in his first 13.1 innings with Baltimore, but he's also walked eight, leading to an 8.78 ERA and 1.88 WHIP. Given the team's injury issues in the rotation, the O's have little choice but to let Morton try to work through his issues. He lines up to make his next trip to the mound at home early next week against the Guardians.

Schneemann entered Tuesday's 1-0 win over the White Sox after center fielder Lane Thomas (wrist) was removed.

After Thomas took a pitch off his right wrist, Schneemann entered as the pinch runner. When Schneemann's first plate appearance came around in the seventh inning, manager Stephen Vogt sent up pinch hitter Jhonkensy Noel. It's unclear how Vogt will manage the position if Thomas is unavailable for a period of time. Schneemann is 1-for-12 with six strikeouts through six games this season.

Smith did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Guardians, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out six over six scoreless innings.

Smith was just one out away from making it through six hitless innings until Jose Ramirez was able to reach via an infield single. Unlike in his MLB debut, Smith was able to complete the inning for his first quality start in the majors. Smith, the first pick in the 2024 Rule 5 Draft, has now held opposing batters to a .105 average through 11.2 innings and lines up for a weekend start against Boston with the White Sox scheduled for five games over the next five days.

Clase (2-0) got the win over the White Sox on Tuesday after tossing a perfect ninth while recording two strikeouts.

Clase made quick work of the White Sox in the ninth, sending them down in order on nine pitches. He wound up with his second win of the early campaign after the Guardians walked it off in the bottom of the inning. Tuesday was Clase's first appearance in 2025 with multiple strikeouts, though he is still waiting to pick up his first save of the season.

Lively tossed five scoreless innings Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out four in the no-decision.

Lively worked around two walks in the first and another jam in the fourth to keep the Sox off the board. It was his second straight start issuing multiple walks, but he was able to keep the ball in the park after allowing a home run in both of his first two outings. With the Guardians playing five games over the next five days, Lively is set to take the bump again versus the Royals this weekend.

Jones returned to the starting lineup Tuesday and went 0-for-2 with two walks and an RBI in a win over the White Sox.

Jones literally walked off the White Sox with a bases-loaded walk that pushed in the lone run of the game. He's shared right field with righty-swinging Jhonkensy Noel, who started Sunday against a lefty. Neither player has done much at the dish, which could eventually result in a change. Jones is 3-for-24 (.125) with 10 strikeouts over 24 at-bats, while Noel is batting .059 (1-for-17).

Torkelson went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

Torkelson hit the first of three fourth-inning home runs against Carlos Carrasco to help give the Tigers some breathing room. Torkelson's been enjoying a resurgence early on. It's taken him 11 games to reach three home runs after it took him 44 games in 2024 to reach the same mark, and he's hitting .310/.408/.643 with a 1.051 OPS through 49 plate appearances so far this season.

Dingler went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Yankees.

With Jake Rogers suffering an oblique strain while warming up prior to the game and landing on the injured list, Dingler stepped into the lineup and should see the bulk of the playing time behind the dish for the foreseeable future. He made the most of his appointment into the starting nine Tuesday, capping a three-run fourth inning with a solo blast off Carlos Carrasco. Despite having been on the shorter end of a timeshare with Rogers through the first 11 games of the season, Dingler ranks second on the team with seven RBI.

McKinstry went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and two RBI in Tuesday's win over the Yankees.

McKinstry plated the game's first run on a sacrifice fly in the second. He then took part in a three-homer fourth inning for the Tigers with a solo blast to right center field for his first long ball of the year. McKinstry has had a fast start at the dish so far, hitting safely in each of his last six games while owing a .355 average and .447 on-base percentage for the year.
