The White Sox optioned Jones to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

Jones spent just two days in the majors following his Wednesday promotion. The outfielder didn't appear in a game for the White Sox during his short stay with the big club. In a corresponding move, the White Sox selected the contract of infielder Chase Meidroth.

The Twins placed Lopez (hamstring) on the 15-day injured list Friday.

Lopez suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain during Tuesday's start against the Royals and will miss at least a couple weeks. Minnesota recalled David Festa from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday to make the start versus Detroit. Lopez sports a 1-1 record, 1.62 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB across his first 16.2 innings this season.

Minnesota placed Pablo Lopez (hamstring) on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. Festa is expected to make the start Friday against the Tigers. In two starts at the Triple-A level this season, the right-hander has an 8:2 K:BB and 5.40 ERA across 8.1 innings. He made 14 regular-season appearances (13 starts) for the Twins last season, turning in a 4.90 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB in 64.1 innings of work.

Torres (oblique) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Torres strained his oblique March 28 but appears to be ready to return to the lineup in time for Friday's series opener against the Twins. He went 3-for-7 at the plate with a solo home run, an RBI, two runs scored, a stolen base and a 1:0 BB:K before suffering the injury.

France went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Royals.

France got the Twins on the board Thursday with a 411-foot blast off Michael Wacha in the second inning, his second homer this season. The veteran first baseman has been swinging the bat well of late, going 6-for-14 with four extra-base hits in his last four contests. Overall, France is slashing .261/.320/.457 with five RBI and seven runs scored through his first 50 plate appearances on the campaign.

Stephen gave up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out nine over six innings for Single-A Dunedin on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Mississippi State product, selected in the second round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, has perhaps predictably been too much for Florida State League hitters to begin his pro career. Through two starts, Stephen has a 15:2 K:BB in 11 innings and has allowed only three hits, leading to a 0.82 ERA and 0.45 WHIP. A quick promotion to High-A Vancouver should be coming for the right-hander, although the organization is likely waiting for the weather to be less of an issue in the Pacific Northwest before elevating Stephen.

Hendriks (elbow) allowed one run and struck out three over a scoreless inning for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.

Hendriks started the game and worked around a soft roller (63.4 mph) to third that resulted in a single. The right-hander threw 18 pitches (13 strikes) in his first rehab outing after a rocky spring. He told reporters he felt good following the game and believed he located pitches better than he had during spring training, per Greg Dudek of NESN.com. Hendriks will likely get a few more rehab appearances before joining the Red Sox. He may serve as a bridge to closer Aroldis Chapman, although save opportunities could come his way when manager Alex Cora wants a righty.

The Tigers optioned Hicklen to Triple-A Toledo on Friday.

Hicklen was with the big club for only a couple days and didn't make an appearance. The Tigers will announce a corresponding move prior to Friday's game in Minnesota, which is likely to be Gleyber Torres (oblique) being activated from the 10-day injured list.

Jones started in center field and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Jones remained in center field as the replacement for the injured Lane Thomas (wrist). His seventh-inning single ended an 0-for-15 slump, and the steal was his first of the year against one caught stealing. Jones, who is slashing .133/.278/.200, had been platooning with Jhonkensy Noel (.160/.214/.160) in right field prior to Thomas' injury.

Rocchio went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Thursday's 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Rocchio returned to the lineup after a routine day off Wednesday and delivered his second multi-hit game of the season. He hasn't done much offensively, batting just .231 with two extra-base hits, two runs scored and three RBI (all in one game) across 36 plate appearances.
