The Blue Jays reinstated Springer (personal) from the family emergency medical list Monday.

Springer is back with the Blue Jays, but he'll have to wait at least one more day to re-enter the lineup while Toronto goes with Sean Keys as its designated hitter in Monday's series opener in San Francisco. The Blue Jays reopened a spot on the 26-man active roster for Springer by placing reliever Braydon Fisher (personal) on the bereavement list.

The Twins optioned Laweryson to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

A corresponding move has yet to be announced, but the Twins' decision to option Laweryson comes after Minnesota acquired Woo-suk Go from Detroit. Go is expected to be added to Minnesota's 26-man roster prior to Tuesday's series opener versus the Guardians, per Dan Hayes of The Athletic. Laweryson has appeared in 15 games out of the Minnesota bullpen this season, posting a 4.86 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, one save and an 18:8 K:BB across 16.2 innings.

The Orioles optioned Weston to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Weston was called up by the Orioles on Wednesday but didn't make any appearances before being sent back down to the minors. He's appeared in 19 games (seven starts) at Triple-A this season, producing a 7.23 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 53:24 K:BB across 37.1 innings.

The Athletics optioned Morris to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

Morris has appeared in two games out of the Athletics bullpen since being called up from the minors June 29, allowing four runs on 10 hits and three walks while striking out two across six innings. He'll head back down to Triple-A, where he has turned in a 4.41 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 60:29 K:BB over 79.2 innings while working out of the rotation.

Caglianone went 2-for-6 with two RBI and a run scored during the Royals' 15-1 win over the Phillies on Monday.

Caglianone contributed to the Royals' blowout by hitting RBI singles in the seventh and eighth innings. It was the eighth multi-RBI game of the season for the 23-year-old outfielder and his first since June 23 against the Rays. Caglianone is slashing .259/.325/.457 with three steals, 14 home runs and 33 RBI over 323 plate appearances this season.

Pinango is not in the Blue Jays' starting lineup against the Giants on Monday.

Even with right-hander Landen Roupp taking the mound for the Giants, the lefty-hitting Pinango will be on the bench for Monday's series opener while Myles Straw starts in left field and bats eighth. Since returning to the majors June 27, Pinango has gone 4-for-23 (.174) with one home run, two RBI and seven strikeouts.

Springer was moved from the paternity list to the family medical emergency list Saturday and is expected to join the Blue Jays for their series in San Francisco, but he will not be in the lineup for the series opener. Sean Keys will serve as Toronto's designated hitter and bat fifth.

Loftin went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored during the Royals' 15-1 win over the Phillies on Monday.

The Royals' batters dominated in Monday's series finale, scoring a run in all eight frames. Loftin contributed to his team's six-run first inning with an RBI single before driving in another run on a groundout in the seventh. It was his eighth multi-hit game of the season and his third of at least three hits. Loftin is slashing .236/.332/.382 with one steal, 16 extra-base hits and 27 RBI across 185 plate appearances this season.

The Red Sox optioned Gamboa to Triple-A Worcester on Monday.

After being recalled from Triple-A last Wednesday, Gamboa made two appearances out of the Red Sox bullpen, giving up two earned runs in 3.1 innings. He'll head back to the minors to clear room on the active roster for left-hander Patrick Sandoval (biceps), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and is expected to join the rotation later this week.

Sandoval is on the cusp of making his first appearance in the big leagues since June 21, 2024, as his recovery from internal brace surgery on his elbow and related setbacks had extended his stay on the shelf for more than two weeks. He's expected to make his Red Sox debut Thursday against the White Sox, either as a starter or bulk reliever, per Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. The left-hander ran his pitch count up to 68 in his final rehab start with Double-A Portland on Saturday, so he could be operating with a bit of a workload restriction Thursday.
